This is the story. A relative who has only visited my grandmother once, 20 years ago. Now she have visited my grandma twice in the last few years and is now staying with my grandma for a few months. Is see trying to smooze my grandma to all the inheritance? My grandma is 93 years old

Seems erriely similar to the Sopranos when Janice Soprano, tonys sister, visits out of the blue and starts living with Livia, Tonys grandma.

What signs should I lookout for?

My relative lives overseas, so the trip is at least a few 1000 miles. No drugs. Years ago her husband lost the family fortune and ran away. I believe my grandma gave her money to stay alive.

My grandma is very mean and is not like by all her kids or grandkids. She has minimum $50,000+, most likely a lot more, and was married to a millionaire businessman.

Why would a a relative that doesn't like her visit and even stay with her for months on end?

Is she a good person when no one is watching. does she care if she hurts others emotionally. IE the cashier in the supermarket. The receptionist. Someone on the bus. A child in a store.
Yes or no gives you your answer.
Also is she nice to you? Trust your instincts. Does she try to interfere with others having a relation with your grandma.
One more thing is your grandma rich?

If they start asking about the will. Trying to get financial records, things like that. I think you might watch too much tv. Maybe this relative was a different person 20 years ago. Do you know the whole story? Talk to some other family members. Find out more information.

First of all it all depends on how far away she lives from the grandma. If she only stays a few days then I would say no but if she stays for a month then maybe you need to talk to your grandma...I would need more details to really be sure what she is up too..I say just talk to your grandma and tell her your suspicions,,Good luck

If she starts asking personal questions like about the will and your grandmothers finances than I would be worried and talk to other family members about it and possibly a lawyer!Good luck!
