I intervened and told him he was very wrong, the girl took my side,
now he thinks i disrecpect his decision in front of his daughter,and that i should have said that. I thought he was over reacting.Was i right or wrong,i need a sincere opinion.PLEASE !

I'm looking for party games to play at a coed birthday party for 4th graders. The birthday girl is thinking party games are pretty lame, because she can't imagine her teenage siblings thinking they were cool. I want her to be a kid, for at least one more year -- got any suggestions?

I work at a detention center for juveniles for almost 4 years. I have only seen a handful of kids who accept their responsibilty for their actions. The kids blame parents, school, friends, society... Why can't they blame themselves? What is different from today's youth from when I was their age 10-15 years ago?

i have tryed everything to get my almsot 5 year to listen.she will just scream and scream if i try to tell her no.she screams if i tell her its time to go to school.she will stomp her feet and cry.she has also started saying bad words and if i tell her not to say them she will get mad and say them more.she also has become very bossy with her friends.she will tell them what to do and what to play and where they can sit.she is out of control.i was thinking of taking her to a dr for kids with attention problems but i would never put her on medicine too many bad things i have heard about them.i just dont know what to do anymore.our family fightd all the time because of her and i am running out of options.anyone have any good ideas??please help!!!

My sister is receiving food stamps and child care assistance. She has been receiving these since last year when her husband left. She also receives child support. But, her husband moved back in with her and kids the end of December 2005. She did not stop the child support order or inform DHS that he was back. And she is continuing to receive food stamps and child care assistance. They are both working. He works full time for a company over 6 years and she work part time at a daycare. I reported her to DHS for fraud. Was I wrong to do this? i just don't feel it is fair for them to free load off the state and taxpayers like my husband who works and I am stay at home mom. We do not receive food stamps or any assistance from the state. Please let me know what you think. I don't feel guilty about it at all. I just wanted to see what others think.

Okay first of all im 13 . Okay so reasently i moved in with my aunt. she has 2 daughter. one 6 one 7 and the 7 year old doesnt want me to say nice things but she doesnt want me to say mean thing. so i decided not to talk to her but then she want to go into my room and touch my things. but then she gets mad at me for tell her to leave because i told her what to do. can any one help me out. please!!! i'm begging. but she treats my older brother just fine. i dont understand. does she hate me and want me to move out?

a few weeks ago i asked the question 'will i lose my job?' after i had to take time off work due to my son being ill. many people said 'get family to look after him', and i'm so glad i didn't listen. my son ended up in hospital with a perferation to his eardrum after a severe infection. he has since got alot better but does now suffer with glue ear.
thank you however to everyone who responded, i really appreciated many of the comments, and i my boss soon realised that my son really was i'll. just out of interest, has anyone else ever experienced this kind of problem where a boss is very unreasonable when your problem is genuine / serious?

I'm 19 and my mom is controlling. She won't let me do things I want to do and claims she's just trying to protect me. She tends to yell and cuss at me a lot. She says the more she yells the more she loves me. She also tells me my feelings are wrong just because she doesn't understand them. She raised me to always believe what she says is right and now that I'm trying break away she gets really mad and saying all this stuff about family and that family always needs to stick together. She also likes to tease and mock me if I cry to her about something and laughed when I was upset that my dad called me fat. She's called me a manipulative brat and told other people that I am when I tell them what she's done or how she says things. She thinks I should tell her everthing and doesn't like me talking about my problems with people she doesn't "approve" of. I really just want to move away but I really think she would track me down if I did.

I have a wonderful son named Steven who just turned 13 this past August. For his birthday, I got him a beautiful handpainted porcelain doll from JC Penney's that he named Patricia.

He's been collecting these porcelain dolls sinc he was 8 or 9. This last doll nearly cost me an arm and a leg though so I told Steven that he can't play with it like he plays with his other dolls, that Patricia had to stay on the shelf.

Anyway, this morning after I got back home from Costco, I walked into Steven's room and caught him trying to breastfeed his new doll Patricia.

My first thought was that how wonderful of a dad Steven's going to be, but my second thought was that the oils from his skin were going to stain the white porcelain. I'm afraid he's going to ruin the porcelain. Is there a cleaner I can use that's gentle enough for the porcelain?

What's more, is that he was wearing my new bra I got from Lane Bryant and he stretched it out. Kids!

I'm 14 and I live my aunt and mom. I am completely shut off from the outside world except for the computer. Anytime in my life I've tried to have friends, my aunt has pushed them away, especially if they weren't white. My aunt believes the world is out to get our small family and has nothing better to do than watch our every move. My mom needs surgery but can't get it and soon it will be too late. My mother sometimes plays the victim and say that everyone hates her. I don't have any friends or family because of a fued. I can't befriend the neighbor kids because my aunt thinks they're horrible people even thought she's only talked to them about five seconds. I used to love my aunt but now it's horrible. She says I hated her from an early age and that I had the devil's hate in my eyes for her along with calling me spawn or imp. My mom's nice but she won't stand up to her. My dad's no help because he's a drug addict. What should I do to get my life back in order? Please help. Thanks much.
