What's your take on adoption? I'm a single, 26 year old male, with my own home, good career, and I’m ready to have a family. The only problem is, I haven’t found that right person. In a year, if nothing changes, I will seriously consider adopting a child. What's your take?

I was wondering a few things and thought I would ask everyone.
1. When did you take your child to the eye dr. for the first time?
2. Does your child's school offer eye screenings, if so what state are you from?
3. At what age do you think you should take your child to the eye dr.?

NOTE: I know that peditritions do check their eyes with a chart, but I want to know when they went to an actual eye dr. Not just the ped.

My 14 yo boy is good at Excel and frequently helps me write some reports. He dies that with extreme good will and once helped me all night long. Saturday morning he was helpi ng me and I was in a terrible mood, full of problems. We didn't agree on a chart type. He kept his opinion, I lost my temper, yelled and told him to use my type. He had an attitude and said Ok, if you want it wrong, it's your problem. I got mad at him, he was disrespectful and I grounded him for the rest of the Saturday. He felt victim of a big injustice, got resentful and there was tears in his eyes. My report was great but this morning in my office an expert told me the boy was completely right about the best chart type to use in my case. I felt like I was a sworm and I'mthinking about what to do now. My boy is kinda resentful. But it's true he was disrespectful. I'm a kinda loving mom, he should understand I was in a bad day. Anyway, I think I was unfair, should I apologize? And how about my authority?

I am 7 mos. pregnant with my 2nd child, and unexpectedly horribly sick, in and out of hospital, throwing up blood, etc. my mum gave me heck for taking a cab to the hospital instead of calling her, so the next time I called her, she took me in and took my daughter home with her (a half-hour drive) to care for 3 times while my husband was at work... now she wants about 200$ for this, money we really don't have right now, what do I tell her? Thanks.

SInce my wife got poorly with Anorexia she hasnt left the house in over 2 years.

I have two daughters...once my 3 year old Madison told me what I had made for dinner was really good. My 4 year old Kaitlyn said "she must be using her imagination."
And just last week I took them swimming, Madison says "if daddy's not cleaning the house are you gonna beat his @ss?"

She is turning 36 and it is likly that I am going to be the only one to get her anything, since i am the oldest kid and her husband never bothered to memorise how old she was turning or even her birthday. I am only 16 and I have a job but I don't make a lot of money, the most I can spend is about $100, but every time she wants something she buys it for herself, because she makes quite alot of money, I don't really want to make her something and I give her bath and body things and flowers every year. Father's new school wife looks like a bad face from my nice mother. My mother is so simple and very fair. She thundered about my father. My mother thinking it is a work of black magic of that bad school girl's parents. My father do not stay in our house after new marry from 2 years even one night. But my father talks freely with us.
