maybe you guys can come to an agreement such as one gets their privacy in the room for a set time period, and the other gets their privacy for a different time period.

I shared my room with my sisters off and on as I was growing up. We tried lots of things like tape down the middle and a marker line. My personal favorite was putting up a funky colored shower curtain that you both like across your room. Make sure you can still pull it back if you need to though. It's not the best form of privacy, but when you share a room it's better than nothing.

The simplest thing would be some kind of curtain - like a shower curtain. Put up a rod, but then use a pretty cloth or window curtain.
There are also "folding room divider screens" - please search the term and things will come up. (I found sites, but I don't want to be accused of trying to sell you anything.)
There's also a way to put up a wall, but that's a lot of work.
If you rent, the landlord probably doesn't want you changing the room. So look at the dividers.
Good luck.

If your parents would agree, you could put up a couple hooks in the wall and hang a curtain (a large sheet or even a shower curtain might work if your room is small) between your beds. This would be temporary, and could come down from time to time.

Home depot and/or Lowes sells bamboo fencing in the garden dept. This fence is about six feet high and will free-stand (leave about six feet rolled on either end). I know it sounds unconventional but I used one as a partition between a living room and dining room for years and it worked great. (cost is appx $30.00)

Get a room divider, trust me, When I was about 10 me and my sister (who was about 15 at the time) had to share a room. It was NOT a pretty sight. So we borrowed my aunts room divider and that acctually worked.

yes u can each go to like home depot & each of u can pick a different peice of cloth & then sew them together & then sew them together(they would have to b big enough to go across your room). Then hang it up like a shower curtan or something! then u can do ur own thing in privacy! It worked for me.
