Funny thing is - many teens / children heading into their teens believe their parents are rude. I did when I was a teen.
Now that I am a parent, I feel this is because the teen/child does not understand that we as parents have gone through what they are about to, and are only trying to help so they don't fall into the same trap/mess we did when we were your age.
It's difficult teaching teens/children right from wrong - very difficult. Many parents just give up on their teens/children only to lose them to the world of sex./drugs/crime and in a never-ending cycle of distress - the parent usually gets the blame. The teen / child never accepts responsibility for their actions - Now tell me - how rude is that?
I believe that if teens/children would wake up to the fact that their parents are the guardians who guide them through life with life's lessons - only to show them understanding and wisdom - in doing so they call upon one hell of a lot of patience to ensure their children understand where they are coming from. Now I have to ask again 'How rude is that?'
I really think teens/children who believe their parents are rude really need to grow up - just a little - and perhaps they can learn to understand that behind their parent's 'rudeness' come the wisest advice they will ever receive in their life. If they choose not to listen then I ask one final time - HOW RUDE IS THAT?
Good luck and may you understand some day.

what do you mean they are so rude. paren'ts arent out to get you. you are probably saying that because they probably didn't let you do something . they have to put you under some boundaries for your own good. to make sure you become a successful person. without boundaries you will grow up crazy. i didn't have boundaries growing up i did some crazy stuff that made me drop out of high school i didn't learn until i had my first son hes now 6 yrs and i have two other children 5 and 3 yrs and I'm just now trying to get a career started. I'm a cna and I'm enrolled in school for medical assistant. I'm 28 its very hard. follow your parents rules they are looking out for your best interest. they didn't have you to hurt you. please keep me in mind when you think they are being hard on you.

Because you're only looking at things from a world that revolves around you. Your parents world does revolve around you, whether you know it or not. I didn't understand anything my mother did until I had my own child, and I realize now that everything she did was to watch out for me. She didn't want to see me hurt, she didn't want to see me make a mistake that could ruin my life. She was trying to help, but didn't communicate it well because she was so over-emotional about it. If you thought about what they feel about you, you'd understand. You have to put yourself in their shoes. You can't just throw a temper-tantrum and say 'but they don't give me every single thing I want all the time even though I could get pregnant or arrested or die.'

I truly don't think you will be able to understand until you become a parent yourself. I have two boys and sometime they think I am the meanest person on earth ( but I tell them it's their dad that's really mean and not me! Ha!) , but I try to treat them the fairest I can. Parents don't have all of the answers, you know. I know you probably think that we think we do, but we don't. We are just trying to do what we think is the best for you.

I'm a parent and so you must be talking about me....I don't consider myself rude. Funny, neither do my kids or their friends. You seem to be "profiling" here and profiling is wrong ya know.
