His lawyer has been dragging it out for thrre yrs so that he could finish school. He finished and they took him 2 weeks ago. Things got a bit rocky right before he left, so we broke up. I write him and go see him. Our daughters still play together. Should I cut all connections? Hes a different person now from when he got in trouble in 03' but i dont know if I want to be assiciated with a felon. And I dont know if i can wait a whole year...365 days!

i know its a touchy subject and it is for me because so many children get mistreated and abused these days but is it ok for your boyfriend or husband to discipline your kids that you had from previous relationships? is it acceptable for them to yell or spank your children?

They would rather me be in an unhappy relationship with females instead of my friend whom I really care about, and cares about me too (same gender). Why can they not accept the fact I do not like females that way, and leave me alone....?

If you don't, how do you think your children respond to listening through the door (cause you know they do!) as opposed to seeing your faces and body language so they can determine the severity of the disagreement. Now, I am not talking about abusive arguing (name calling, cursing or negetive physical contact), I am talking about a disagreement and working it out through conversation that may get passionate.

I am looking to move house. I have two kids who at the moment have a bedroom each but I dont think I can afford to buy a house which will give them this luxury. The kids are aged 12 and 8. Do you think a shared bedroom is OK for kids at this age? or do I need to try to regig finances and try to afford a bigger house?

in yesterday's advice column in the st pete times, a woman wrote. My husband's aunt died and her memorial service is on the same day as my nephew's first b-day party where my family who lives a 4 hr drive away is getting together. my husband suggested he go for his aunt and i go see my family. Is this ok? the anser said No. funerals always take presidene

I think that is wrong. Nothing you can do for the dead . celebrate life. If it were my family id want us both to go the the b-day party and skip the memorial, What do all of you think?

I am 33 and I have 3 children and my mom can't understand that I am adult. she critizes everything my husband & I do and she said that a me and her can't be friends because a parent should only give parenting tips and tell them what they do wrong, not to be friends. I know a lot of people that talk to their mom every day and are "friends" so we got into a fight and she left my house and i told her that i don't appreciate being talked to that way and she said that a parent can talk to their child (by the way, i am 33) anyway they want! I disagree. I would never be as mean as she is to me. she doesn't see me a an adult that can make my own choices. she got mad a me because i let my 6 year old chose that she wanted to grow her bangs out! She is mad at me!! why!!

We walk 3 bolcks to the store and usually 4-5 guys stop her and you know they want her. She is offered clothes, money, drugs, cigarettes, food, etc. She always says get lost, but she told me today that the pressure is getting tough to resist. She is an average student at best. She feels the future is in her looks which are tops in all categories--thin, hair past her waist, sexy and knows what to wear to accent her body and looks. She told me she could make $500 a day if she sold herself, maybe more. She is already talking about getting breast implants and stripping at private parties. She really does not need implants--she is big now, but wants porn star ****. She is tired of being broke and having to struggle for her needs. She cant even buy her cigarettes some days and she smokes a pack a day or more. help me.

My wife thinks it is ok to say suggestive things to our guy friends. She calls it flirting but I feel it is more like talking dirty. For example one guy said his leg hurt. She thought it was funny to offer to "rub" it for him. This is on the tame side of her comments. I feel disrespected when she does this. I have told her how I feel but she continues to do it. I am wrong? How should I handle this?

My ex partner came over to discuss child support last night for our 2 year old son and said he would give me £200 a month for our son,he earns over £1000 a month after tax and is now back home with his parents so has no outgoings.I said that I thought £200 wasn't enough but after a good nights sleep I thought I might as well take it as I'd rather we all got on and it would be more amicable if we could make an agreement between ourselves rather than go through the child support agency so I told him that when he dropped our son off tonight. He seemed happy I was going to accept his offer but then I got a text message about 20 minutes later saying he'd been on the csa website and the calculater on there said he would only need to give me £24 a week.I've been on the website myself and input the details and it came up with a minimum of £48 a week so where is he getting his figures from and why is he begrudging his son an acceptable standard of living?

My bf is 46 I am 34. We are gay couple The bf cheated on me, because he felt alone in our 2.5 year relationship. I was working with my depression, and own issues and neglected his needs. I was cold and distant, said I loved him but did not SHOW it much. He said he cheated on me to fill a void. He has only known this new guy for a month. The new guy has been to our home and saw $$ signs and not the debit. We have a home together and several thousand dollars of credit card debit plus a new car. Both of us will be in financal ruin, if we bail on this relationship. I am more concerned with the emotional TOLL. He can not break the new guy loose, does not want to hurt him. OR ME. We have fought like cats and dogs cried and bawled like babies. We both KNOW we love each other. My depression is better, I feel alive and in control, now that I am better I hope its not too late to make a differnce. I can see love in his eyes. He can see it in mine too. What do we do?

"Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because god counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved." I had a friend send this to me and wanted to pass it on....

My boyfriend said since he was a little boy his mother has always showed more attention to his sisters than him. He says he has never ever had time alone to establish a relationship with her. He said when they do talk to each other at always ends up in a heated arguement. He does admit when he in his teens he was rebellious but now that he is in his mid 30's he has gotten past that stage in his life. However, his mother keeps on reminding him about the past. I have watched him and his mother interact and usually she has an irriated look on her face and sounds condscending. I told him maybe it has something to do with the fact that she had him when she was a teenager. Yesterday he found out from one of his sisters that he was not in her will but his 3 sisters were, he was so hurt. So now he said he will just leave his mother alone.

How do I make my husband want to interact more with our son, in the evenings. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works about 6 days a week. I know in the evenings he is tired, but our son just really wants Daddy in the room while he plays. But my husband would rather lay on the couch and just play PS2 with him. Suggestions needed for how to get him to want to play with our son at least a little while every day.
