Hi my husband has a brother out there that he has never met. His mother had him before she had my husband and because she was not married she gave him up. i think it would mean the world to my husband if we found him. How can I do this without spending a ton of money and coming up empty handed? Please does anyone know a place I can look?

The whole process has taken about 12 years, to get this bad. To put it in a nut shell, my parents rarely even talk to each other any more, Ive lost count of the arguments, and constant bickering etc etc....
To me this sounds awful but its kind of a sigh of relif, it will be sad but I think Im more relived. Im an only child, never been very close to my Dad. Is this a terrible thing to think? (Im 21 and not living at home anymore)

I am 17. My parents just split up about a week ago. My mom was dropping me off at work (eck no, I can't drive yet) and she told me that she was going to go into AA and take counseling. She said in a couple months she thought it would be a good idea for me to take counseling too, to work out any issues I have from the abuse I've dealt with the past 6 years (verbal, not physical). I think I am fine. lol You know? But do you think I should try it anyway and see what comes up or what? It sounds like it would be interesting to hear what they had to say, but I'm not too keen on telling them anything personal about myself. Opinions? Thanks. =)

I am having trouble keeping my family from putting me in the middle of their issuus with my fiancee. I have told them in the past to take their problems with him to him. He's an adult he can handle it. I do not need to be put in the middle because that causes hostility between my fiancee and my family and stresses me out. how else can you tell someone that they are the one's driving a wedge between me and the family.

I used to be very involved and through out the years, have stopped but now that we have a family I want to start again strong. His family is heavily rooted in catholicism but he is not practicing. I am non-denominational. He has come to church with me 2 times and he is very critical. How do I get him to come to church with me and our children and be open about it. I want to raise our children non-denominational.

Some teens don't think much of their parents cause they are too busy to devote time to them to talk, etc. Teens have either a brother or sister that are "the pits". With that in mind, who would you conside to be the ideal parents, plus a brother & sister?

Ok I have seen time and time again, that relationships where ppl go thru hell (fighting, all the time) are the ppl that really love each other, and that stay together, then the relationships that look great,we always see thats there's some1 screwing around,or w/e. Am i the only person that thinks this? Does fighting really mean, that there's love in the relationship? Curious PLS B Honest!!!

We have been through so many bad things and people tell me it is the age (she is 16) I really wish I could throw her out but I know I can't. She is the most selfish person I have ever known. We have nothing in common and don't even speak. I really do not like her. She does nothing around the house, she is lazy and if she doesn't get her way...forget about the battles that go on. I really can't even stand her face or even the sound of her voice. It is a very sad sad situation.

I see it all the time kids that are 12 or 13 hanging around Cinemas or shopping centes dressed up to the nines in all the latest fashion trends and caked in make-up....

But I saw a group of girls today in the supermarket and one of them was wearing a REAL (believe me Ican tell or it must have been a very convincing fake) Louis Vuitton messenger bag... WTF??! I live in a working class area so this is not 'normal'.

Kids being an adult is not what it's cracked up to be, and your an adult for a good 50, 60, or if you're really healthy 80 years. Climb some trees, hang around at the park, be kids for a change.
I wonder if Mr S. Freud would have anything to say about this?

Is it materialism gone mad? Do children have a childhood today?

my dad and my mom split up when i was 1, and we lived in russia. after they split up, my mom and me moved to america but he stayed there. we havnt communicated or anything since i was 1. his mom (my grandma) visits me almost every year and tries to tell me about him. but about 2 years ago when i was 12, we started emailing each other. but still no phone call or visit from him. in his last email to me, he wrote that he would love for me to visit. and i dont know what to do. my mom doesnt really like to talk about him, but i'm sure she wouldnt mind me visiting him. he got remarried and now has another daughter. i have mixed emotions about visiting him. i mean in a way, i want to see him and everything. but then again what will happen when i do? will i see his new family and realize that he kind of forgot about me? or should i wait until he visits (if he ever will) i'm really worried and i have no idea what i should do. if anyone can help me figure it out, please do. thanks!

People say you should love your family unconditionally no matter how much they piss you off. Well for me that seems not to be the case. Me and mom don't get along very well, and sometimes I get so ticked off at her I say things I don't mean, and feel that I hate her. :( Is this normal, or even okay to feel?
