Hi my husband has a brother out there that he has never met. His mother had him before she had my husband and because she was not married she gave him up. i think it would mean the world to my husband if we found him. How can I do this without spending a ton of money and coming up empty handed? Please does anyone know a place I can look?

Depends on what state he
was born?
Many states do not release adoption records, but some do release a copy of the adoption, like Alaska.
Check with your states Vital Statistics office.
You can do this online, and you can also call.
You may also post with free sites, looking for your husbands brother.
You need vital birth information, too.
But if the adoptee is not searching for you, too, he may not see this information.
Good Luck!

Do you know his name, date of birth, and father's name? If so try US Search. I did and it gave me some good clues to find my daughter. Ultimately I found her by doing a search on Myspace. You can also contact Oprah Winfrey. Not only will her people do all the work, you might get some money out of it.

Are you really sure that possibly turning the lives of two families upside down is a good idea?

What about asking questions on here. Don't use a bunch of information, but enough to get someone who knows to answer you. Then you two can email and see if this is a lead.

you can go to social services and see if they have any info on where he was and then you can go to the parents that he was with and they can tell you where he is now
