My step dad is blaming me for him not being able to get a doctor because i charged a guy with sexual assult. He tried to get the paper to do a story about it without my permission, and because i have a hell of a cold and didn't want to go to his house at 1:00 in the morning to look after him he is acusing me of trying to kill him! he never said anything about not feeling well. He tells me the next day that his blood pressure was like 300, right! Now because of all this he is cutting me off of the little extra money he gives me every month to help me get my bills payed and buy groceries.

I suppose I should tell you the terrible thing, huh? Okay, this whole thing REALLY started in February. My cousin was having a party (she lives 1 or 2 states away from us by the way) and we couldn't come. That made my middle aged sister and I kinda upset. And you know when you get upset how you say stupid things? Well, that's what we did. My younger sister wasn't upset because she was the only one who was gonna see her this summer. Then my younger sister wrote everything down that we said (remember we were mad so who knows what we were saying) and tells our cousin the very next day! My middle aged sister and I burst into tears and apologize and our younger sister just grins. So, for the months after that, we got in little fights with her. But the biggest one was the most terrible thing to do. I only did it because I was jealous my younger sister always got to see her and talk to her. I would delete it but you can't. I wrote a couple Yahoo Answers! questions about her.

My Daughter, 18 1/2, doesn't understand my anger that she leaves "to go for a drive" at 9 PM and returns, this morning, at 5 AM. No word from her, no responses to messages on her cell phone. I don't particularly WANT to throw her out, but how do I get across the concept of "House Rules" for my "Star Boarder"? This is a recurring incident, she is also Unemployed, but supposedly looking for work. I am a divorced father of 2, her and her 14 year old Sister, thier Mother is not in the picture at all.

I'm a woman and pays attention to details, but my older brother is totally different. I don't know if it has anything to do with his gender or his personality. There's a problem with the bathroom door. It closes automatically when it's supposed to be open. I filled a bottle with water and put it by the door to stop it from closing. I always remember to do this when I'm done with the bathroom, but NOT my brother. He NEVER remembers to do this simple thing when he gets out of the bathroom, and I have to do it. The other thing about him is that when he uses the key to open the door, the key hole is never in the erect position, and this causes a problem for me when I use the key to open the door. I complain about this in front of my mother, but she always tells me not to say a word about it to my brother. I mean he's 9 years older and why can't he pay more attention to such details. Is he being sloppy or is he being insensitive? Your viewpoints, thanks.

Our precious Baby Sister and her boyfriend are moving across the country to pursue her career. They won't have a car there initially. 1) Besides cash, what's a nice care package (food, snacks etc. - I like to cook/bake) to give her the day I drop her off at the airport? 2) Also, I wanted to get her an engaved gift or something from 'Things Remembered' --- Any thoughts?

My older brother and I use our own PCs, and we spend quite a lot of time on line. In fact he spends a LOT more time on the internet than I do, although I'm the one who pays for the internet. Seems to me that he never feels that he needs to chip in, and my mother always tells me not to bring this up to him. Even though we are siblings, I don't think it's right of him not to pay a single dollar. This really makes me feel like being taken advantage of my own sibling. What would you feel if you were me? And what would you do about this if you were me? Thanks for your insight.

I know there are an endless number of in-law jokes, and for good reason. So, my problem is not new. Meaning there should be a lot of people with a lot of experience out there. I've tried so hard to get along with (and like) my in-laws, but there is such a strong personality clash. For a long time I blamed myself and they were perfectly fine with letting me believe it was all my fault we didn't get along. But, I finally decided that I will no longer allow myself to feel bad. I used to knock myself out trying to make nice and have given up on them. But now my military spouse is deploying to Iraq and I wish there was some good, solid advice out there that could help me approach this with a new perspective. I lost both of my own parents a couple of years ago and feel the continued alienation of my Husband's parents (by both sides) is morally wrong. Do I accept this situation forever or take this upon my shoulders once again? Is this even possible???
