There you go! Just answered your own question. NO decent parenting. No one to tell them right from wrong. To explain life or anything. Most kids learn off the streets or in school from other immature children who do not know better.

As a kid, there is no more "decent parenting". I got very lucky though to have a great family. I have everything i need and the support and love. But, maybe your confused on something. Kids don't get what they want all the time. And have you noticed the kids who "cry" for attention? With cutting themselves, burning themselves and other harmful things? It's the parents! If a parent works all day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and the child goes to school at 8:00 and comes home at 3:00. Do you see any time where the child and the parent are ever invloved? So if its anything parents need to LOOK at there kids and see how beautiful and innocent they really are. Parents need to slow down and just be with them and put limits to things. So, whoever you are parents just give kids things to shut them up they "buy them off". There is no love. Where is it? Do you know? Every kid out there like me are somedays wondering where was that love, where is it? Its a new generation and were all living it.

Funny how most children of single parents are well behaved and the families with 2 parents have absolute spoiled brats to leave the world to deal with. Now I'm not saying that this is 100% but in my observation the soccor moms have this idea in their heads that they can drop the kid(s) off at many different activities during the week, leaving it up to the coaches to raise them and then they can go get their nails done, go shopping, and do whatever. There is hardly any discipline. I am very liberal but there is a line to be drawn. You will not ruin the child if you don't give into temper tantrums, you will not ruin the child if you use the word NO. You will not ruin the child if you give their rear a spank when they deserve it. Kids today are REALLY spoiled today. My son goes to school with these little brats and when he comes home and says 'Mommy, why is so and so allowed to do this and that' or 'Why doesn't so and so have to do chores' I tell him that I am not their mother and if I was their mother the rules would be the same for them as they are for him. I have NEVER had anyone complain to me about my child, quite the opposite. It's always how wonderful, mature and well behaved he is. I never spoke down to him. I never told him that he was too young to understand something. I spoke to him like I would to an adult, having to explain some things a little deeper, but thats what kids need. They don't need to hear 'Dont worry about it Johnny, you'll know when you get older'. They need to hear a full explination along with 'As you get older you will understand better'.

Too many psychologists and psychiatrists who studied children (and yet have none) seem to have ALL the answers about our kids. And look what is happening as these parents are following what the psychologists are telling them. Spoiled brats.

Parents need to toughen up and take back control. Your kids don't run the show...YOU DO! It's right to punish them, take away their TV, ground them, a smack on the behind, don't buy them a brand new camaro as their first car. Make them go to work, make them do chores. And most of all tell them NO and mean it when they are asking for something inapporpriate. These kids need to learn work ethics. How many people MY AGE (32) still live at home with mommy and daddy yet have the ability to take care of themselves. It's sickening.

Yak1to1....people take that quote the wrong way. It's not about giving up the responsibility of your child onto another family, its about family sharing the responsibility of all the children. It's a VERY old quote. Hilary did not make it up.

Oh and superd44688, my son is the product of a single mother. My well behaved, unspoiled son who is always complimented. It's not the amount of parents, it's the amount of parenting.

Parents got lazy. Ms. Clinton said "It takes a village to raise a child", and parents believed it so now they let the rest of the village watch over the kid. I see it all the time, parents go in a store or restaurant and the kid is running wild, like we are supposed to watch it.

Parents also stopped discipline the kids. Some idiot came up with the idea that spanking and setting boundaries was a bad so now parents try to reason with a life form who's brain isn't fully wired until they are about 18 years old. Hello people...can't be done! There are a million teenagers out there who are proof. They have no moral compass, no empathy, no personal boundaries. And their parents wonder why?!?

Because todays parents let the tv,computer or games take over to raise there children. As long as the child is doing one of these things the parents are happy there leaving them alone. People put more time and effort into raising a pet.
TO MANY PEOPLE HAVE KIDS THAT DIDN"T REALLY WANT THEM. STOP HAVING BABIES YOU DON"T WANT AFTER THE CUTE GOES AWAY.
Any one thinking about having kids reall should go get a job or spend the day at CHUCKY CHEESE best birth control.

Lets' face it. Parents nowadays are uncapable of bringing up their children well. The reason? Because they are materialistic! Parents work day and night to earn money. Yes, but they earn more than enough. That time should be used to take care and nurture their children. That's why children nowadays are so rude towards the adults. I just hope that moral values are still practiced in the world. Imagine a world without moral values.

Its mainly because of the small nuclear families. Have limited members and give too much freedom to their chikldren. Earlier in large families, each one learned to share and live and there were too many role models who indirectly teaches the young ones. When they are all alone with spoilt parenting, they revolt against the society by becoming spoilt children!!!

Oh heck, this one is an easy one. Very simple!!! Stop and think about it. How was it when we were growing up? If we did wrong, did we not get our butts busted? And then when we had kids of our own, when they did wrong, did we not bust butt then too? Well now times have changed and we have people out there now that to spank a child is "GOD forbid" abuse!!! Well because of that, if our child acts up now and we spank that child, we go to jail for spanking that child, cause someone out there yelled "CHILD ABUSEEEEE". Please people, has any one out there never heard of the saying "spare the rod, spoil the child" ? We (parents that believe in spanking) could make our kids mind if it weren't for those people out there that couldn't mind their own business. Now they are the ones that grip cause the kids now days are so unrulely. We can thank those people. I know about the jail stuff! Cause one day I took my son to the store and I had to pop his butt while in the store. An old biddy turned me into the police for child abuse saying that I "beat" my son while in the store. I had to take my son into the police station for them to look at his body! They stripped that boy NAKED an looked at every inch of his body!!! Guess what? You got it, NO MARK ANY WHERE!! But look what HE had to go threw. Now you tell me that was right!!!!!!!!
Just because of some nosey woman that didn't know her own butt from a hole in the ground and stuck her nose into MY business!!! That is why kids act the way they do now!!! Sorry but that got me fired up, just thinking about what my son had to go threw that day and for nothing!
