Being a Mom I also agree with the fact that you haven't given us all the information. You left out "WHY" your dad hasn't chosen to take you. If you've done something to lose the privilege of going to the cottage then 'fess up and let us know. We can't really help you unless you're willing to tell us the whole story.

HI i have 3 children and i no were your coming from my husbands family makes a big difference between my children. I have two girls and one boy. They always want my oldest girl to go with them and stay the night everyone in the family seems to do this. No!!!!!!!!!!! i don't think its fair and i can only imagine how it makes you feel....And my children are getting old enough they are starting to see this themselves..And i see it does hurt there feelings and i get very upset i have question my husbands family! but they seem not to see what doing .My advice is to ask your father why he does this if you dont get the answer your looking for. Leave it alone and when he is ready he will come around if the does not happen you always have god he never leaves your side remember that if you would like you can email me anytime you would like to talk i no were you are coming from and i dont blame you for being upset.aaronerin@verizon.net

You sound like you are telling one side of the story. Are you in summer school? Have you behaved badly? Are you just a pain to be around?

Sometimes we are treated unfairly; it's called life. But a lot of time it is the result of our actions.

I suggest you think on this, and if you do think you are being treated unfairly, calmly sit down with him and ask him why.

It's amazing what communication will do if you communicate, as in talk quietly and politely, and logically. If nothing else, you should find out why he's not taking you.

Good luck!

So he's taking everyone, but you, on a trip, huh? Did you do something wrong? Are you grounded. No, that's harsh. Even if you were grounded, it's terrible to go on a family trip and forget a piece of the family. That's like...like...like trying to put a puzzle together with a piece missing, and like assuming it's done. No! No, no, no. It is not fair!

So strange. Do you live with your dad or mom? A lot of times, I've seen never experienced, dads marry into a new family and forget about the old one.

I'm so upset that this happens, it shouldn't. Have you spoken to him about this and that it REALLY hurts you?

Not enough information has been given. Why does HE say he isn't taking you? Why do YOU say he isn't taking you. You only gave the barest of circumstantial facts, but to determine fairness we need to know motivations, not events!!!! Try again.

It depends. Did you do something to loose the privilege of going? If not, then it's not fair. If you did, then it is.

Why are you not allowed on the trip? Have you been naughty? Is it because of your boyfriend? Talk to him about it. I feel certain there is more to this story.
