Your mom-in-law is the one who gave birth to your life partner. Who do you think you will marry if not for her? So, when you love your life partner, think about how he/she receive love and care for him/her during growing up and gaining independence.

Does he/she think the same of your mother?

What's the issue? Has your mom-in-law experienced those things herself? Maybe some understanding will lead you to have a great relationship with her. Time will heal all things; start the restoration process; and don't wait for her. Changes is easy when you start with yourself.

WOW, ARE YOU BITTER. I would never wish harm on someone no matter what I thought of them. Sometimes people give their opinion too much dont realize it because in their mind they are just trying to help make life easier. How would your partner feel about you if your MIL died tomorrow and they found out you wished it would happen.

Um mine is sweet and I've only argued with her once and it lasted all of a minute. My inlaws invite us over all the time!
Does your wife know how you feel? Has she done ANYTHING to resolve the situation??? PS wishing a deathly disease on someone is a bit harsh and if you HATE her that much, thats how much she CONTROLS you.

Wow. Wishing ill on someone is pretty harsh. There are some others at http://www.ihatemyinlaws.com who share your sentiments. I hope you find the support and understanding you need.
