Why do you need a $6000 car? Many very reliable vehicles can be purchased for 2-3 thousand or less. The car that I am driving now I bought off of a salvage auction (cosmetic damage - mechanically sound) for $100. The deals are out there, you just have to find them. Whatever you do don't get 'had' by an overpriced car at sky-high interest at a buy here-pay here lot.

You obviously have a problem dealing with finances if you need to clear credit history.
I never recommend going to family. Thats an easy out for you isn't it? No interest and you probably think they won't hassle you for repayments because your family right???
I recommend you ring some of the numbers listed above or go to a financial planner. Do it the hard way
instead of a car.. catch the bus.
work off your debt.
Do it tough for a while instead of taking the easy way out and you will appreciate it more in the future. (and so will your family)

First of all, you made the debt, you pay the debt. Why should your relatives pay for YOUR debt. Second of all, if you don't have a car and need to get to and from work--catch the bus until you can buy a car. That's called taking responsibility for yourself. My son would never ask me to buy him anything....anything I buy is done so voluntarily.
If you don't have a job, then you need one in a hurry. Any other action means that you do not want to take responsibility for your own actions. Uncle and aunt should be able to do with THEIR money what they want to, they do not HAVE to bail you out, and it really does not matter how you incurred your 6000 dollar debt. What matters is that you incurred it and now you are trying to find an easy way out...there is none. A decent person will work, and he/she will also pay their debt and pay it in time.

There are times when people need help. There are numerous reasons why people get to that point, sometimes by their own doing and sometimes by no fault of their own. Your credit debt is yours to pay and yours to pay alone. Working hard to get ones self out of the hole builds character and teaches one exactly how hard it is, increasing the chances it won't be repeated. They may be willing to offer assistance in obtaining a vehicle, but only under the conditions that you pay them back or make the finance payments. It doesn't hurt to ask, but only ask for what is really needed. Find a way to get the rest, even if that means less free social time and more hard to work time.

That's a hard one. If you go to them and they don't give it to you, then you will resent them, you probably won't mean to, but it's human nature to feel like that. They may have a good reason to not be able to part with the cash.
If you love them and they are all you have, I would say, maybe ask for less and make it a goal to pay the rest off yourself.
If they are loaded and money is no option to them, go for it, but they may still say no, then the resentment will be worse, cause you know they can afford it. I guess you need to evaluate how important they are in your life.

NO, don't drag them into your problem. Tell your creditors you have no other means and ask them to draw up a suitable plan for you. Go to work by public transport or buy a second-hand car. What did you do to crank up $6K debt? Over-spending?

Dear Jojo It has rightly been said that those who do not study & understand the past can neither handle the present nor creatively plan for the future... !

I wouldn't give that much to you if I was your Uncle or Auntie. I guess you have to work and save. But they might offer u some loan or help. Try.
