I would suggest 8-8:30 pm. A child from 9 years onwards can go to bed at 9:30 and from 11 years10:00.

A 7 year old needs 10 hours of sleep (not 8 like an adult) You do the math. A ritual before bedtime helps set the pattern. (bath, pj's, quiet time with a book and then zzzz) It is my experience that is the parents that cannot keep a steady schedule. I have seen parents at the grocery store with their children at 10:00pm on a school night!

I have a 6 year old and a eight year old. I Put the 6 year old to bed at 7pm and the 8 year old at 8pm. I like doing this so I can have a good hour with my eldest with out his siblings being about, we read a book or even just talk about his day was about at school.

My son went to bed at 8 every night during school until he was about 12. He woke up cranky with any less time. As he got older I told him he could stay up a little later as long as he got up easily and happily. Even when summer came he knew how sleepy he got and would go to bed by 10. He is grown now and still goes to bed early and gets up early. m

7pm with perhaps 30 mins reading or something before lights out. Kids of that age need 10 - 12 hours sleep a night so i does depend on what time little one has to get up. I have always found it best to give about 30 minutes for reading of short video before sleep time.

At that age my parents made me go to sleep around 7.30 or 8. Don't make your child stay up too late, make him/her sleep soon, and the worst that could happen is that he/she will wake up sooner as well! At that age, kids need to get a lot of sleep. Most importantly, always take him/her to bed at the same hour each night, and your child will get used to it. If he/she's not sleepy, then telling a story helps :)

Depends on a lot of factors .... times have changed and traditional factors have very much gone out of the window ... and of course there are peer pressures, even at age 7!
I would suggest 9pm is a good time ..... for the summer maybe ..... earlier in the winter 8-830pm.

What time do you need to wake him to get ready for school? He should get 8 hours of sleep, so should be in bed 8-9 hours before he wakes for school. DO the math.
