I feel I am one of the luckiest people alive when it comes to parents, they are truly beautiful inside. I must say my sister and I have really put them through the mill with problems, over the years and yet they are still there for all of us, not judging, just advising and picking up the pieces. I love you mum and dad, you are my best friends, I thank you for everything, you have made me the person I am today XX

My parents are old.. my mom will wake up mid dream and blurt out something about random things she was dreaming about that make no sense and my dad will talk about the good old days when he and his brother bought 8 pairs of jeans for school for 4 dollars and would cut pencils in half to save money.

Well my dad smokes, I've been trying to help him, but nothing works, and my mom has OCD. But,other than that, theyare the coolest and best parents a teenager could ever ask for...which is what everyone probably says about their parents.

Sadly, both of my parents are now dead.

My mother was quite a driven person, a perfectionist, good looking, intellectual, caring. She worked all her life as a nurse, travelled widely, and painted beautiful wtercolours of wild flowers.

But Dad was quite withdrawn, a good provider for the family, and enjoyed doing precision jobs and gardening. He was a man of few words, a bit of a negative thinker, and had a good tenor singing voice.

Neither of them was perfect, but I miss them!!!

Mine are great. They are both 45 and I'm 28, so i wouldn't say they were old! They had me when they were young, and we have a close relationship and i think we all relate better than if they were much older than me. I have a young mum, so i can borrow her clothes!,she keeps up with the latest styles, but in a way to suit her age. My dad, well, hes just my dad!!

My dads a stubborn mule who believes he's always right. My mum is always right but is very good at letting you think you are. Dad will argue even if he knows he's wrong, mum only shouts when dad hasnt done what she asked him to do.
Dad's a commedy genious, mum's good at loads and loads of things all at the same time.
My brother has my mum's patience so it means these problems are def genetic!!

my father is deceased, but he was a great man. He would give the shirt off his back to someone who was in need. My mother on the other hand can't see anyone else around her because she is completely self absorbed. Opposites do attract I guess. I got lucky and got my father's genes. That is why it bugs me so much that my mom is the way she is.

Hypocritically Incompatible. It's all very humorous. You love them more once you don't see them on a daily basis and don't have to deal with the day to day interaction. Tends to make things rougher around the edges.
