I'm 25, she's 20. I make about $600 a week, but I support us both on that salary. I'm thinking of spending about $400-800, but I feel like it's not enough. She insists that she doesn't want me to spend very much, because she's not that materialistic and our love alone is reason enough for her to say "yes".

Would it be out of the question to buy a cheaper engagement ring and then spend the big bucks on the wedding ring? I know it's usually done the other way around...

I'm married, and I'm in love with a married man. He started avoiding me at work. It's made me think twice about my own marriage. I feel so sad that I love someone else, but I probably will never have anything with him.

i am getting so fed up with this!!! Even though i like him (my best friend, he dosent know) Im just getting fed up with everyone saying we are a good couple or if we are going out. The teacher said it, my MOM said it, my friends say it, people in my class said it, and even my friends little brother said it!!!!! (may-b cause he talks to me the most)
but why do you think people are saying this so much.

I hooked up with this guy but I felt like we had an actual connection beyond just the physical. I really, really want to convey to him somehow that I want to see if it could work out, but I don't know if it's a good idea -- if I should wait a while before suggesting it or what. Also, how does one get that idea across? I want to hear from guys -- how would you like to be approached if a girl had a huge crush on you? I don't want to be creepy.

Ok, my friend and I have known each other for a really long time. But lately, she's become a bit conceited about the way she looks and think's she's drop dead gorgeous. What do you guys think? I'm really not trying to be mean, it's just she gets on my nerves sometimes. Thank you :D

This question is for those who have gone through or going through mid age. I'm 39 and have a really nice house, no debt, a successful business, and still not really happy. Is this due to the nonsense I see on TV as to the lifestyle we should be living?? I really know the question to this but can't help to feel this way because this is how our society is. Normally, I just blow off what other people think because god made each of our lives different. Still, I have this uneasy feeling that I'm lacking something in my life right now. Need some other viewpoints.

Another question I have is how do we adjust to aging? We never were taught how to grow old gracefully, our society usually just put older people away in homes... Not that I'm that old yet. but I never thought of myself becoming old.

He passed away almost a year ago. I have a new bf now, but I feel so guilty. Not to my bf, but to my late fiance's memory. I keep crying about him at random times. I miss him so much, but i don't wanna live in the past anymore! I do like my bf, but my fiance was my 1st love, my best friend. When he was still alive, loving him made me happy everyday. How can I get over him?

ok, this is going to sound wierd and some of you wont even understand what im trying to say, so here goes.

what makes you the better person? the women (man) that has her house clean, her kids nice and pretty, and dinner ready by 6pm OR the woman that makes the housewives hubby tell her lover to call his (her) spouse tell her (him) that he(she) is going to be late because of work.

honestly can people (lovers) think that they will eventually become someone important in that married persons life?

I personally, would rather be the house wife that has her kids all nice and tidy, than the one help tear a family apart.

I guessI would feel less of a guilty consience less

Alright...long story short...my bf and I have been living together for just about 3 years, before that we had been best friends for about a year. We talk about marriage frequently, and 50% of the time, he is the one bringing it up. Yet when we ACTUALLY speak of it seriously, all he says is, "soon". But i've been hearing "soon" for 2 1/2 years. We both have stable careers, we own our house, vehicles, etc....we do not have any debt, so I know it's not a money issue....what else could it be and how long should I keep waiting for "soon" to come?

Well my ex boyfriend has really pissed me off in the past and I am still a little pissed off and I think he knows that but today he showed me the Christmas present he was giving me. It was gorgeous, I mean it was a beautiful silver and diamond necklace but I don't know if he has changed. Should I take the chance?

Ok so, I'm the only person out of all of my friends that has never had a boyfriend. Or anything close, for that matter. I know I'm not the prettiest girl in school, but I do have some traits that some girls say are nice. I have nice eyes and pretty hair. But I am not skinny, and I am really cautious (I have had 3 knee surgeries). Also, I am very sarcastic, and sensitive. What do you think could get guys to notice me, for reasons other than that I can help with homework? And really, if looks don't matter, why have guys said they don't like me because I am ugly? I'd absolutly love some advice! Or just your own thoughts on this.

Well my ex has been talking to me for about a month now. He has a girlfriend and some issues with her but just can't break up with her yet. He tells me he still likes me and wants to get back with me and i still like him more than anyone knows. Heres the catch... my best friend is really close to him and grew up with him. They are like brother and sister basically. Well she likes him and i guess she has for a long time now. I'm not sure if he has feelings for her or not because they are so close. But i'm scared. I don't want to lose him to her and i don't know what to do. Should i talk to her about it? Should i talk to him about it? Should i talk to both or them? Or should i just let it go and kinda go with the flow? Or is there something else that you have in mind? Please tell me i like him more than anyone knows and losing him to my best friend would be the hardest thing i'll ever have to go through =(
