The girl is 10 years old, and the perpetrator is her former step-father. Because he was only dad she'd ever known, she continued to go visit him after they got divorced when her younger sister (who is his bio daughter) would visit him. This came out during a counseling session today. I don't know what to do or say, and I would like some input into things to say/not to say or ways that I can help support my friend through this ordeal. Do I say anything to the daughter, I don't want to make her feel like everyone in the world knows about it? I just feel lost and don't want to make things worse.

There's a in my youth group, and she is almost two years younger then I am. She seems to be in that phase, where you are begining to grow up, so you think that you ARE a grown up.
You know, that time when you say things like. "I'm totaly this," or "I'll baby-sit the kid." and wheres dark sunglasses inside and at night. I'm not trying to be mean, but I'm almost embaresed for her. Like one day, she came into church with all her hair twisted into some odd thing with clips sticking out everywhere. I'd like to know how to handle her. Should I act like it's no big deal, or shold I kind of give her warnings with my eyebrows? You get the jist. And for her own saftey, let's changer her name to Bridget.

My inlaws are here and they tend to be extremely rude and condescending. Of course, everything is best the way that they did it. Incessently, they walk around and pick on the way things are - and I kind of feel like - hey, you had your shot - if you really are not busy enough with your own life, why pick on ours? I pray that in retirement, I am not one to spend my free time analyzing my children's existence - do other people go through this?

Ok here is the problem. I live with my father and his life partner. We have 3 cats 2 dogs. They been fighting allot recently. today His life partner got another cat from friend of his. He has been told several times no more pets. Ok i have 2 options
1. go to my fathers work and meet him when he gets off to warn him. This will probably lessen the impact.
2. Do nothing and watch the fireworks when he gets home.

My ex wife moved quite far from me when she got married this year. Previously, I had our daughter at least 3 nights per week while the ex went to school. Now, she moved her to a school 30 minutes away and I only get to have my daughter one night per week and every other weekend. This week, the ex decided to put her into a gymnastics class on the night that I get her. The class is over an hour away from me, but very convenient for the ex. She asked me if it was OK, I said no, and she did it anyway and told me it wasn't about me, it was about our daughter and I would have to deal. I couldn't make it there by 6 because of the distance to pick her up, so she told me her "stepdad" would pick her up since it was too inconvenient for me. This sort of thing has happened 3 times in the past 6 months. I have no prob with gymnastics, just needs to be half way. Should I get legal help to enforce my visitation rights or should I just take it for my daughters sake?

I don't really know how to flirt, i just treat every guy and gal the same. I always have. im 17, and i never had a real boyfriend. i am also have a really tom-boyish like personality, and at the same rate i dress really nicely. But still guys just don't like me, they'll check me out and tell me im hot all the time, but then they get to know me and they wont like me like me. And i know its not because i intimidate them cause so many more aggressive girls get boyfriends but i don't. Whats wrong with me? To almost every 'cool' guy im a turn-off. We flirted for about 8 months, I thought at the time she was seeing this other bloke in the office, who has a fiancee but she denied it and we went for a drink and a dance after the sales conference - she said I was trouble and then we went back to hers and I just slept there, nothing else. Then we didnt do anything for a couple of weeks, I asked her for a drink, she blew off another engagement to be there and we kissed and went back to hers, again we didnt sleep together. Then she goes on holiday and we text each other a lot, when she gets back she says she has really missed me and that night she texts me and comes round to my flat and we actually sleep together then.

A few more dates pass and we have a lot of fun together - she spends a weekend at mine and says it was amazing - a week later I go away for the weekend, she says she is going to miss me, after that she gets much colder and a week later says she doesnt want to do anything more because we work together and its too complicated - in the same conversation she says she has "fallen" for me. Since then we have texted a bit and she still flirts a lot with me - we went out for a drink a couple of weeks ago and I told her I was leaving work and I really liked her and I kissed her - she said she hasnt gotten on with a guy this well since her boyfriend of 7 years who she broke up with 18 months ago - she also says she doesnt want to hurt me and that she falls in love easily and in six months she will hurt me if we start seeing each other. She also said I should "stick around".

Since that night she has gone for lunch with this guy with the fiancee a lot and I have seen her out with him after work - also any vaguely sexual comments I make she ignores or rebuffs but she still flirts with me in a sexual way.

I really like her and I dont understand what is going on - she is either worried about getting hurt, or she is seeing this other guy which is not great for me but its her life, but why does she keep trying it on with me if she wants him - maybe it is an attention seeking thing but it is pretty cruel and immature of a 27 year old to be doing that. I keep trying with her because she is encouraging me to - today I am not wearing any gel and she asks if she can touch my hair!! She also asked me for lunch next week - I asked her out for another drink next week and she said yes.

What do you think - everyone, all of my firends, say I am wasting my time but I really want to keep seeing her. She says she doesnt want to hurt me but I get the feeling she is worried I will hurt her - maybe I am just being paranoid about the other guy but perhaps that is the reason. (he is a black guy, as was her ex boyfriend so clearly her type)

I went out with him once. I broke up with him. Thenwe went back out. He broke up with me. I still love him. I can't stop thinking about him. I wish he would take me back. What do you think? Well there's a 21 year old guy who is always nasty to my 23 year old friend. She is very friendly and gets on well with most of the people in her class. She talks to this guy just the way she does with other students but everytime she talks to this one guy he ends being nasty to her and ends up shouting at her to get lost and stop chatting to him, even infront of other students. When she asks him why he said that he says because he hates her, doesn't like talking to her and that they don't get on. However after a few weeks he apologises for being rude, so they talk for a while and then it repeats itself. It's happened 3 times now, and my friend has forgiven him each time, but this time she is really upset and doesn't understand why he is so nasty to her when he doesn't even know her that well.

Ok, we've been together 7 years now and we now have 3 sons. 1 1/2 years ago i had to move 2 hours away because of my job. And now we are finally back together. We are to be married next month finally; but i found out she had a 2 month affair about a year ago. Of course i was devastated, and i felt back then something wasnt right because she started working out, going to the tanning bed etc. but she convinced me she was being faithfull even though she didn't really act happy to see me. I got kicked out of my house last night and now i am homeless, unemployed student. I am working on getting a job already so u need not tell me. I had a accident a couple months ago and It messed up my vision ( i was in the emergency room for it). Glasses cant help me. The teacher puts the quizes on the overhead....and i cannot read them from that even if i sit up front. So i told him about it and he said (if sitting up front does not work, we can work someting out) Today i guessed on most of them and got a really bad grade on it. But he is kinda intimadating to walk up to...what should i do?
