My niece is coming to live with me because right now her life is very hard. She is 13 and her mom and her dad are breaking up and her friends are now making fun of her. My sister agreed it'd be best if my niece come to live with me as long as she can visit her and her father. I agreed.

Today my sister e-mailed me angirly saying that she found out I was putting her daughter in a private school, even though it's one of the best schools in LA and her daughter loves it. My sister had said from the begining I could chose the school for my niece.

I called her and told her it's what we agreed on and that this is one of the best schools in LA. My sister yelled at me and said that I was making a bad choice and that I should watch out. Now my sister is so mad she's trying to get my niece not to come even though I filled out half of the paperwork. How can I explain to her we already I agreed, I could chose how her life would be in LA?

I have a 6-year-old male cousin that I babysit often, who is a generally a good child. However, he thrives on attention - way too much. Often when I visit his house with other people, I can tell that my aunt, uncle, and other adults are embarrassed by his behavior. He always needs to be the center of attention, and it is frustrating and causes a lot of problems when company is over. If someone is doing something and clearly all eyes are on them, he will run in front and do/say something (often rude 6yro childish humor) to bring the attention to him. Also, when others are in conversation that don't include him and he wants attention, he will stop and scream loudly (not for anything in particular, just to bring all eyes to him) or repeatedly call out from a faraway distance, "Look at me!"

During gatherings with adults, I sometimes have to watch over him, which is why his behavior is also very frustrating for me. How can I get him to stop this? It's rude/annoying/tiresome!

My guy is almost 33 years old (NOTE: I'm 30, and I've been dating my bf for about 2 1/2 months). He just confessed to me (last night) that he's only ever had one girlfriend other than me, and that he dated her for about two months when he was in high school (grade 12). Things between him and I have been going well, and the relationship has been progressing fairly normally (e.g., we have been seeing each other regularly; we have started to meet each other's friends and family; we have been having sex for about a month now; etc.).

Is the fact that he has only ever "dated" one girl (other than me) "normal", or should I be concerned?

A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be
confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner. Good morning, said the young man. If I could take a couple of minutes of
your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high powered
vacuum cleaners. Go away, said the old lady. I havent got any money, Im broke As she
proceeded to close the door, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed it wide open. Dont be too hasty, he said. Not until you have at least seen my demonstration. And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure on her hallway carpet. If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from
your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder. The old lady stepped back and said,Well I hope you got a damned good appetite,
because they cut off my electricity this morning. What part of broke did you not understand

She burst in through the door and shouted she needed the loo, then came out leaving a vile smell,i had to use the air freshener, then i was tidying up(hoping she would take the hint and go,but she never) she then said to me...and i quote ''My God you've got some knees on you, there some size, you wont be able to walk by the time you are 50,you will need a wheelchair''
How horrible is that, her son then started to open drawers and snooped his way into my sons bedroom looking for ''batteries''.
I am sick of it should i hide from them or tell them not to call?
Please help i am at the end of my tether!!

My husband wants to go by himself to his 20 years High School reunion; I'm not sure if it is because he is looking forward seeing his "Old flame/s" or because I'm pregnant (and not as "Good looking" as I was a year ago when he told me he would take me to show me off with his friends, I'm 12 years younger!) or because he is really thinking that I would get bored (I don't know nobody)? What do you think guys? - Specially you males?

Why was she not this persistent when were together? I am tired being run over. I do not think going back to her will make things better until I tell her how I feel.

My husband just started a new job at his firehouse as an EMT. He works with three girls. He is close to one of them, and considers her a good friend. I think they might have a friendly/playful relationship. Is it normal to have a close relationship with the opposite sex without having romantic feelings for that person?
My husband is a great guy/father. Not the cheating up. He says that he really likes her as a friend/and needs to build a close bond with her (they are medic partners). I guess I am still worried about it though.
Please serious answers only.

My husband met some of his siblings (father's side) and his father 5 years ago, I found them. In the last year the oldest of the siblings has become really close to my husband and some accusations have come out. Calling each other all day for months, talking ugly about me, inappropriate speaking to each other etc.(caught them on tape, no sex mentioned, but talked like lovers or they were in love) After I accused them of an affair (of course they denied it), he would not speak to me for 5 months and was moving out. We are trying to reconcile now (since April) but he has changed. It is like the passion and desire he had for me (which began to chang when he was talking/hanging around her alot) is gone. He does not call me (called 3 times a day for 11 years) he calls her everyday now. I feel bad if they are innocent, but they were a littel too close. Others saw it as well, but never mentioned it. The fact that he is calling her everyday still eats at me, how do I get past it, for me?

Last night I went out with my boyfriend, his best friend, and two of my friends. We had a few drinks, but weren't drunk - just hanging out and talking.

What got me, was that he seemed to be kind of ignoring me - and paying more attention to everyone else. He probably thought he was being polite to them, but I just felt kind of ignored. Not to an extreme degree, but just kind of - there.

He went back to his place and I went back to mine (his best friend's car was at his house and the friend needed it) - we got on the phone after a bit, and I was feeling just 'expressive' enough to mention that that had bothered me. He said that he hadn't noticed that, etc. etc., and would talk to me today about it - I guess the friend was still there. I just feel really weird about the situation. It felt like I was kind of an 'extra' in the outing, and it bothered me - he didn't even notice. Am I out of line here? What should I say when I talk to him?

This guy I once kissed 5 months ago is really looking forwards to seeing me when I go on vacation. He is very nice, but I'm now in a stable relationship and my boyfriend is coming with me on vacation. Maybe we won't bump in to him, or maybe we will... I feel I should let him know he's got the wrong idea. How?

I have a coworker whos daughter is having a wedding shower and the whole office got 1 group invatation. There are a few people who work in this office who would probably get the girl a gift b/c they have worked with her mom for 15+ years and knew the girl as she was growing up. Well those few ladies now want to get a "group" present - basically so they dont have to spend as much on a individual gift! They are going to the shower (to give the gift) the rest of us are not. I dont even know the girl - and she has lived on her own and with her boyfriend for years - she doesnt even "need" things. How do I get out of having to give money for this?

Speaking as a parent myself, if I left my child alone and went down the road I guarentee he would come searching for me. I also think that the Police have known all along that she was murdered and it's all been a cover up. What do you think?

I am meeting with the caterers as well as the person making our cake tomorrow for tastings. Do we need to tip them tomorrow or send them a thank you card?

Also, if you have any advice on questions we should ask... or what we should expect, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thank you so much!
