I've messed up a few relationships based on my own personality flaws....done things I really regret and lost some great boyfriends as well as friends.

Anyone else? How did you get over it? Or, maybe you didn't.....

i am sure many people have stumbled before they learned to walk so you know your not alone..i know my flaws are in need of constant make overs so hey don't dwell too much on past mistakes learn from them take stock of what caused them and move on..each experience you go through is just a learning curve nobody is perfect we learn as we go..good luck and stop being so hard on yourself..peace~

Like Dovey, I have messed up a relationship but later found out that it was best. But at the time I felt awful and like I'd lost the best boyfriend I'd ever had. I was seriously drunk, he pissed me off, then I basically told him I was going to go sleep with someone else. It hurt him and he wouldn't talk to me for a week. I felt so bad about it, our relationship was never the same after that. Turns out he'd been lying about alot of things, but still, I feel bad for doing what I did. I seem to always mess up relationships! I will always regret that night, though.

I have "messed up a relationship" but I am thankful I did. I would hate to have married the man that broke my heart. I got over it by remembering what didn't work and forgetting what I loved about him. Forgive yourself without blame (as you seem to be feeling guilty) and have faith that someone will love you the way you are in the future. It is much more relaxing and everlasting when they love you for You.

Be sure to learn from your mistakes, and to NOT repeat those things that you did in the next relationship.

Yes... Somehow, it's always my fault that things fall apart. For me, time heals... Do things that you enjoy, and it will help pass the time.
