My husband and I have been married for 2 1/2 years. Not long, I know. We care for one another and even love each other. The problem is, he's from another country (Brazil) and I'm from here. We have many different perspectives, opinions, and values in life, especially when it comes to a woman's role in a marriage/relationship. He's very jealous, possessive, & sometimes verbally abusive, but more in a "passive" way (never phsysically, however, but still not good, nonetheless --I know). He doesn't try to have a relationship with my 7 year-old son (from previous relationship). Logically speaking, we BOTH know that we shouldn't be together, but why is it so difficult letting go? Furthermore, he wants children now and I don't. I feel if I let him go that we'll both suffer greatly, so sometimes I think we should just tough it out. Am I wrong? Why do I feel this almost need to make sure he doesn't get hurt? I feel an aching in my heart. I don't know what to do. Any advice?

I have never really had a boyfriend, and I am 20. A guy likes me, but my friends think he is creepy, and I don't know what to think now. Besides the fact he isn't my usually fantasy type, he is pretty low key and we had an almost normal conversation. But I have this idea of the perfect guy in my head, but now that I have gotten to know him, I wouldn't mind being friends with him. I guess my question is, if my whole heart isn't into it, is it bad to think about dating him... not being in a relationship... but... er I am so bad at this. I just want love to be easier you know... and I am tired of being single... I just want to know what it is like to date. The guy really likes me... or seems to at least. He persued me before school ended and we had a chance meeting outside the library. I just don't know if this is the right thing, part of me wants to listen to my friends, the other part wants to at least try it out. Don't know what to do? It sucks being single.

Well my relatives such as grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins cannot be trusted. My mom's side has a bunch of stingy and greedy untrustworthy people who conspire against one another. My father's side has a lot of arrogant snobs who use you when they need you and ignore you when they don't need you. Not everyone is like that but most of them. Because of their stupid behavior I feel resentment for them. They always try to take advantage of my family and I can't stand it. I just wish i was successful in the future so they can't mock us again but I'm still a teen getting there or trying. Any of you guys ever experienced this or what do you think or do? Please no insults thanks all, I appreciate it.

My dad is a complete jerk like 85% of the time. Selfish, manipulative, legalistic and just plain insensitive. My sister's family tolerates his monthly visits, and usually I find an excuse to not be around, but now I have to go have dinner with him, and I'm absolutely dreading it. Any advice on how to get through the night amicably?

My husband gets jealous even if I walk out of the office building chatting to a male colleague. He starts with all these weird questions. On the other hand, he has been emailing his ex (who is also married by the way) and calls her by her nickname. Yet when asked, he says it's nothing! I don't have an issue with him talking to her. But the double standards don't make sense. What's going on?

My "best mate" and i had an arguement, after i accused him of not caring, because i was upset, and he laughed at me, and he also ditched me to go fishing with another mate, and he lead me on aswell about something else. Making my mood go up slightly, then telling me that he didnt want to, and dropping it like a load of bricks. Even though he has done all this, i apologised for calling him "uncaring" but he didnt take my apology, so screw him.
But anyway, have you ever had a mate like that who has done anything similar like that to you?
and do you think i was right to not care anymore (at this precise moment, im debating wether to wreck his life more, for what he did to me. His last gf, and still current love interest only dated him once, and that was for three days, as a pity thing. I also have other things on him)
What do you think?
Have you ever been in my position? Or something similar to it with one of your friends?

I have been living with two guys for almost a year now and one of them is a really good roomate with whom I click and we have similar opinions on cleanliness.

However, the other roomate is a very messy person. I'm not talking untidy and unorganized, I'm talking unsanitary problems with food safety, garbage smells and him not every doing his laundry to the point of it smelling really terrible in the apartment. We have asked him to be more considerate and help with the cleaning of the common areas, but nothing we say or do seems to change his ways. It's gotten to the point where his disregard for cleanliness is causing us stress. We currently are considering pointing out this problem to our landlords to see if they can help us out in this.

Overall I would be much happier if he moved out. We have nothing in common and I always feel awkward around him. And the unsanitary and unpleasant messes he makes are getting to me.
Do you think we should kick him out?

So I been dating a girl for almost 2 years. Our relationship when there is no problems goes more than great. I love her but I dont know if I can even be IN love with her. Whenever me and her fight or something goes wrong I remember her past and I get mad. Mostly cuz I dont agree with many of the things she has done. She slept with 4 guys after only dating them for 3 months each. Then she broke up with them short after yet she claims sex is a thing of love. I hate her for her past, but I love her as a person. Thats the main thing that bothers me but she lied to me about alot of things one of them was that she hooked up with a guy cuz she was "angry" with me and I didnt find out until 7 months later. She never told me cuz she was afraid I would leave her. I love her and we have broken up a few times, but we always end up together. She claims she doesnt need me and that I could do better but I love her. Is there any way I can forgive and forget? How can I make things better?

Ah! This is the worst thing I have ever felt. I have been with my current boyfriend now for almost a year- I am even taking him to my hometown this weekend so that he can meet my family. But recently, I moved to another city (completely uprooted myself to do so) and have met another person, who is incredibly amazing. I don't know this guy well enough though to sacrifice my relationship for him AND my current boyfriend has been an unconditional and incredible support for me suring our whole relationship - but I can't help what I am feeling and I am confused! I guess I am looking for some validation. Please do not say anything nasty, I am a geniunely nice human being (with a major, major problem).

And you have been coming home late from work recently and your mate from school has been waiting for you. He then tells you he is to marry next week and wishes you to be the best man and you go out for a booze up to celebrate. When you return you find your sister sobbing her heart out in her room. You knock the door and go in to ask her whats the matter. She tells you he told her terrible lies and she was stupid and believed it. She got herself used and abused in every way and she allowed him to perform undocumented acts of vile with her. Because she believed him! You also know his fiancee is 6 months pregnant and his future missus is a really nice woman despite this guy being such a cruel dictator of the sex world. What would you do?
