You do absolutely nothing. Things have a weird way of working themselves out. If you tell your gf then she'll be truly upset and drama will follow. If you do nothing, you won't be in the middle of any unnecessary dramatic love triangle. Trust me, keep your mouth closed UNLESS the other girl becomes overly affectionate.

I agree with biscuit, follow what biscuit says and do things more just the gf and you without the girlfriends friend around. Keep your mouth shut until it shows it self then your gf will see for herself. Mums the word. I was the gf once and the trust went away no matter if he didn't like her back my mind always wondered if they did something together be hind my back, don't hurt your gf with that stupid stuff because the friend shouldn't even come into your mind. Check yourself before you reck yourself.

you should let your girlfriend knows about this, so that she can prepare herself on having such a friend she called "bestfriend". If things isnt that bad, your girlfriend might work out a solutions to this problem that you're facing. So, talk to your girlfriend nicely, tell her the truth and see how she's going to handle it.

Tell your girlfriend's bestfriend outrightly that you are not interested in her. Tell her you are not interested in her, and that you don't like what she is doing - backstabbing her friend (your girlfriend) and her boyfriend as well.
Next... talk to your girlfriend and tell her what happened back there. But assure her that everything is under control and that you love her very much.

...Under these extremely tragic and painful circumstances, there is only one honourable way out for the esteemed young gentleman who raised this Question :
...Buddy, you had better tell your own girlfriend the WHOLE truth rightaway, BEFORE she gets to hear her best friend's version :
And please avoid all future contact with your girlfriend's 'best friend' [if she is the 'best friend' your girl could ever find, then she sure needs some psychiatric counselling too !].
....What sort of a girl could this 'best friend' be - to privately inform her best friend's boy friend that she has 'feelings' for him, while publicly maintaining her association with her current boyfriend as well ?!
...You cannot imagine how awkward life will become for you, if you dare fall for this 'bait'.

Just tell her that you are flattered, but you really care for you gf, and avoid any further conversation about it. Act as if it never happened. Do not mention it to anyone at all!!

This is why...
read carefully

The phone called ended in such a way
That i wasn't sure just what to say
Who to call, how to feel,
And won't someone tell me is this even real, oh
I'm such a mess
I'm such a reck, oh
I'm such a mess

Is there some extra space,
On your floor
Next to your bed
And if you let me stay so
I'll be there
Cause in the night time when your sleeping
I'll be there to say
That i loved you and i left you anyway

Is there some extra space,
On your floor
Next to your bed
And if you let me stay so
I'll be there
Cause in the night time when your sleeping
I'll be there to say
That i loved you, I left you anyway

I was lost as a latchkey child
And I saw more than I could handle
Left alone
In the lonely isle
Left to stare into you

The phone called ended with drop me a line
I though about it long, and hard.
Don't play me for the fool
Even though i'm just the fool for you
I'll turn into a mess
And and and when the snow comes down
And covers up the ground
To see you for what you really are

Play me for the fool
Even though i'm just the fool for you
I'll turn into a mess

And when the snow comes down
And covers up the ground
To see you for what you really are

The phone called ended in such a way
That I wasn't sure just what to say
Who to call, how to feel,
Won't someone tell me is this even real, oh
I'm such a mess
I'm such a reck, oh
I'm such a mess

Get over it.

It may seem awkward, but that's life.

If it was said in confidence, you don't need to tell anybody.

Just file it away in a deep memory and move on.

Dude....don't get in it!!! Tell your gf and let HER deal with it! Not only will you score big time brownie points with her but it will also relieve you of the stress of handling it! It's her bestfriend, she knows her best, let her handle her...NOT YOU!
