Hello Questioner,
Most have a view that parents will never ditch you at any point but a lover may leave. It is a completely wrong point cause even some times parents ditch when you don't satisfy them in cases like opposed love marriage or career selection. In that case, the strength of love of a parent or love becomes a tie cause both do have equal chances to break or stay.
The answer to your question is the difference between these love is quite different. I mean their entire point of view changes. A parent sees you as their kid and loves you cause you are their blood. Whereas a lover doesn't seek all this. His/Her first wish is to be with you. They love your character...your talks...your everything. But both these love can't beat each other in terms of comparison. But a lover's love do beats parents love at a point that you are a complete stranger to the lover. He/she doesn't have any blood relation with you and there is no need or compulsion to love you this much as your parents do. Yet they do. That is the sweetest and wonderful thing about a lovers love:-)

I think the following link will help. In English we use one word for love, no matter the type of love it is. The ancient Greeks did a better job I think.
The way I see it, though, is that a parent's love is undeniable, and lasts throughout any circumstance. It is a love without bounds.
The love you receive from a lover is one of passion and desire. There are bounds and limits, and it is possible for the love to die or fade.

parents are gift of god that they give us a birth and take care for even 25 to 30 or for till they are alive and when they scold us then also we can see that love which is only for us they feed us,give us education,help us whenever we need them, they understand us where as lover we feel a different feeling and we share those thoughts that we cant share with our parents and we have adult and most friendly behaviour with them.

There is no difference. It's all whom do u priortize. It's a choice made in mind by u not them.
Both love u unconditionally and at the end of the day you can't live without both.

A parents love is unconditional.
They will love you no matter what you do.
They might be angry, but they still love.
A lovers love must be earned, and kept up.
If you don't keep working at it you'll lose it.
