My husband of just 3 weeks .....has been lying to me for the past 3 months about credit cards. I was wondering where his money was all going to and while I was cleaning our bedroom I found a bunch of credit card statements on top of our entertainment center. We are usually so honest with one another and this is the first major thing he had lied to me about...I am stunned he kept this from me and lied about where the money was going. He says he was paying his father's land payments, because his father is helping my husband's no good sister out. I care for his family, but now we are in debt and we are having extreme problems paying our bills. What am I to think about his actions and his father's, because his dad had to have known we didn't have the money at the time to pay his land payments. I have already talked to him and forgave him...and we have cut up the credit cards, but I'm still so hurt about the whole situation. What would you do or would have done in this situation?

Why do people bring up what they have and own as a way to get more friends? Money isn't happiness. Why would a brand name make a person cool?

I am currently engaged and I will be a virgin on my wedding night. My fiance assures me that he likes that I'm a virgin. I am afraid he is just saying this to make me feel better. To the men out there, do you have opinions on virgins that you could share with me? Do you think it is cute, sexy, beautiful? Scary, turn-off, etc?

I told my friend today that I've been competing with her on different levels of life, and she said wtf. I told her not to take it personally but it seems like she's angry at me for competing with her. (She's had boyfriends and I haven't had a single one... and she "forgot" to mention to me that her first boyfriend originally liked me...)

There is this guy that I've been interested in for a few years now. We've been involved on and off. About three months ago, he met someone and they have both fallen head over heels for eachother and he has tried to remain friends with me. She has left to go back to Mexico for at least the next couple of months but will be returning. He is flat broke and had a run-in with his roomate. I stupidly told him he could stay with me in my one bedroom apartment for $200 per month and he has taken me up on my offer. He sleeps on my couch and wants nothing to do with me romantically. When I so much as try to hug him, he pulls away. I have become his roomate. and I feel humiliated. In addition, he keeps on talking about how he needs to save his money - - and I know he is saving up to be with her. I told him that I feel used. He feels there is nothing wrong with this situation because we are just "friends" but i feel hurt and rejected. Who is wrong here and what should I do?

I have been divorced from my ex wife for 8 years. Everything was fine til I married wife #2. Two weeks into my new marriage she started to refuse my visitation rights. I have seen my daughter about three times since. It's been 2 years now. My visitation rights are court order, and yes I do pay child support. My ex wife didn't go to court to terminate visits , she has done this on her own. She has even called my wife & told her we were having sex. This has really taken its toll on my marriage, and my stress level is way high. I have no idea how my daughter is, or where she's at. I'm unable to get a lawyer , I drive professionally , out on the road 3 to 4 weeks at a time. Please give me some ideas , on what to do !

I am 22 and feel like I should be having the time of my life but I can't ever seem to let loose and have fun. Any time I smile it's forced and I'm serious all of the time. This keeps me from having any kind of a social life.

My 20 year old son came to me several months ago and asked what would I think if he dated a older woman? I was thinking maybe he was talking about a woman maybe a few years older than himself, so I said hey if you are happy, then I'm happy. Come to find out through my daughter he is dating a 43 year old vet...that's what young black men call older black women. I was floored. My son never told me what age she was, so I asked him how old was his new friend and he told me she was 43. Heck, I'm 45!!!! This chick is 2 years younger than me!. I told him I forbid him to date his woman, after all he is still at home w/me, but he is over 18 years old. My thing is I think this woman is stealing me sons' stamina and I'm sure he has a lot of it. But he really likes her, I asked him what the heck do they talk about and he said "everything" . I recently met her on Fathers Day. She came to my mother in law's house for a cookout w/my son. I tried not to knock her out! What shouold I do?

Ok, here is my issue. I asked my mother in law to do my hair for my upcoming wedding. Now, I want an low-updo but she thinks I should pile a bunch of curls on the top of my head. I do not want this and have voiced it to her several times. Now I have convinced her that it is my day and my hair should be the way I want it. BUT now we have a problem with my veil. I want it on top of my head - it's just that I have always imagined my veil kind of cascading over my shoulders - and she says that since my hair will be up (really, it's like the nape of my neck!) that I HAVE to wear the veil under my bun. I really don't like the way it looks on me. Yes, we have messed with my hair when I am wearing my dress and I really, really do not like the veil the way she wants it. She says that it is improper to have a veil on the top of the head with any kind of updo. I disagree. I think it would look fine. Who's right?

Somehow her name seems to pop up in our conversations everyday...and he never fails to mention how wonderful & awesome she is, what a great personality she has, that she's the best thing in that office and that most of his male coworkers think she is hot. Sometimes I feel like he is purposely trying to make me jealous. I usually just say things like "wow, that's great" or "I'm sure she is" and act like it doesn't bother me so as not to give him the satisfaction. I don't tell him how it makes me feel so that her name does not become like a "sore subject". My brother-in-law (who works at the same company as my husband) has had some serious problems with his wife for the very same reasons. Am I being paranoid?
