I was just curious as I felt that I have hurt my mother feelings on several occasions and have put her down and made her feel bad. I am unsure why I may have done so... but was curious about whether this made me an abuser? (Age 14-16 at the time)
If a male, son of 19 was to have hit/mentally targetted his mother/father, I would have counted that as domestic abuse.

Arguments have ended in mental/physical violence occuring within my family, but where does the line separate disaplining a child and abusing a child?

Where is the line?

She treats my boys like crap. Half the time they go down there, they end up coming home early because she finds something to flip out about. She is constantly interfering with their relationship with their dad. She never gives them any alone time and even turns off his phone so the boys can't call him. He tries to make things right, but everytime he does she threatens to take away their 5 month old. What are his chances of getting custody? She has to be medicated so she doesn't flip out all the time and she also has a 5 year old that she shipped off to her moms a couple of months ago because she "couldn't handle her".

O.k I have this close friend and lately all his friends and mine have been telling me that he likes me and he wants to go out with me. But the problem is that he is too shy to ask me.
And i personally like him too, but i don't want to be rejected by him...But i am also afraid to ruin our friendship, if it doesn't work out! SO what should i do? stay quiet and be friends or go for it

we live in iowa. my son's wife moved to minnesota when his kids were babies. the divorce was final. visitation involved meeting halfway. she moved from minn. to calif. doing this she broke the court order regarding visitation. right? after living in california for 5 months the welfare office came in and took my granddaughter into custody. she is 3. my grandson is in the hospital due to the stupidity of *&%$&* who let him get into a bottle of sleeping pills. he almost died. was in a coma and having seizures. a miracle brought him back! the welfare let my granddaughter be released to my ex-daughter-in-law's boyfriend's parents. there is going to be a hearing this month to try to terminate both the rights of my SON and his ex-wife. petition states that ex-wife used pot, manic depression...... nothing good.... and it states that my son is violent because of the fights him and his ex-wife had in the past. they have not been together for over 2 years. so what do we do?

One of my close friends just got out of a relationship that lasted about 5 years. Once out of the relationship, she began becoming close friends with a girl in which she has now initiated a relationship with. She constantly is asking for my advice telling me that she is confused and that she is istill in love with her ex. I think that she jumped too quickly onto another relationship without giving herself time to heal. Plus she has been rather irrational and her behavior pattern has changed a whole lot. She has began smoking but I believe that she may be using drugs. What is the best way to approach this situation? I really would like to help her throughout these tough times, if I don't what kind of friend would I be?

I am in love with a man who is still married. Im 25 his 38.. I have known him for 3 years and we fell madly in love. It feels so sweet! He has said he will get a divorce, but his got 3 kids (which i dont mind, but understand it takes time to sort him self out) I feel he loves me and has said so..But because i was affraid and insecure i started to see someone else, cos i thought i was stupid to hang around. I saw him about 1.5 weeks ago (he said he loves me, and was really gentle) and now havent heard from him. He said his divorce is coming through this month. Could he be waiting for that? This may sound stilly, but I'm being bullied by my younger brother. I'm talking about verbal abuse. He calls me retarted, gay, lez, fat, ****-talker, and a ******. I'm none of those, and I know that, but I don't know why he does it anyway. I don't do anything to him. I try to be nice. I know he's different than me, so I respect that and keep my comments to myself. He picks on me probably because I'm an easy target. I don't fight or say anything rude back. I just sit there and try to ignore his bad behavior...but this has gotten too far. It's been going on for years, and I'm so fed up with his attitude. I want to stick up for myself and end his unreasonable swearing twards me! ...Although, I don't know how. I don't want to "calmly talk it out" because he's not that type of kid. Hes got some major problems and won't listen to me. My mom doesn't even listen to him. She doesn't do ANYTHING to make him stop swearing. Can anybody help me?

I have this friend who has this boyfriend and its like everytime she asks him a question such as " Are you cheating in me?" or " Do you like that girl?" he always anserw with " It's what you want it to be." or he answers saying " If thats want you want to believe." ok this guy is obsessed with me! self-centered i know...but he found out where i lived and he did all these chores for me like mowed the lawn.
