Dear Ally,
1. Slow down a little. Don't get in a rush. You should always think over your moves when they involve a guy. That way, no mistakes.
2. It could be that the guy did not appreciate you sending someone else to ask him out. Most people (guys or girls) like a direct approach. They don't want everyone else in their business. So, next time you want to know how a guy feels, ask for yourself. It's the thoughtful thing to do.
3. You know he is flirting with you if his manner changes when he is with you. If he smiles when he sees you coming, or if he makes excuses to talk to you. Watch how he treats the other girls and see if he is a bit nicer to you than he is to them.
4. If you want to show him that he is more than a friend, be sure that you REALLY listen to him when he is talking to you. Make sure that you tell him that he looks good. Tell him that you REALLY enjoy talking with him because you like to hear how he thinks. Guys like to know that they are important to you.
ONE IMPORTANT THING: be sincere, but not silly. You are not there to make him feel like you are drooling over him (it will make him uncomfortable), but that you appreciate him (big difference).

alright, u can't get a guy to like u.u can make him more interested in u by liking everything he likes. he flirts with u if u guys walk down the hal together very slowly, talk 2 u everyday, and u can tell the other stuff

You can't get a guy to like you as more than a friend if he doens't. If he doesn't know if he likes you, then he probably doesn't. Sorry! Also, guys like to do the chasing in realtionships, so I wouldn't have your friend ask him out. Play hard to get, guys like that sometimes

I'm guessing you're VERY young. You would know if he was flirting with you and if he's saying he doesn't know then he probably doesn't like you more than a friend.

well... tough one.... the way to get him to like you is to be yourself.. i know it sounds corny but it works great... a guy is flirting with you if he :
- chases you
- jokes with you
- messes with you
- makes fun of you (in a laughing way)
- and when he wont stop talking or listens intently on what your saying
