If you lose your dignity big time, and you are filled with shame and regret and you berate yourself, what is the best way to overcome the feelings of shame, self hatred and humiliation?

im reluctant to go into too much details, but I made an *** of myself over this man, and im pretty sure he thinks im crazy, as a result ive lost any chance of being with him ( I dont want to get back with him now) - it is not so much the break up and the heartache, it was with the way I acted.
I ive lost my dignity and pride and i constantly seem to be ruminating over it, and im so filled with shame and regret it seems to have stopped my life.

I feel to embarrased and ashamed to say what ive done, to people in real life, and ive got a poor social support system anyhow.

any tips, links, words of wisdom, book recommendations would be appreciated.

my ex husband was verbally/emotionally abusive which would make me cry. then, when i would cry, he would get even meaner and tell me to "shut up and no one wants to hear that." of course, those words hurt more and made me cry more. we have been separated for a year and for the past few months, i've been dating another man. sometimes he comes across as too harsh and likes to disagree a lot with my opinions. it hurts my feelings because i don't want to agrue, i just want him to validate me and not just put down my opinion. anyway, sometimes i cry a little and now i found out that is why he wants to break up = because i cry sometimes. he said that his feelings changed when he heard me cry. i don't understand. i've only cried a couple of times, and when i did, i was very quiet about it and just kept to myself. i'm very sensitive and when i'm hurt = i cry. why wouldn't a man just say something nice and then i'd feel better? why do they say mean things that make it worse?

Okay I been dating this guy fro 4 months now.Recently I told him I will be dating a second guy since he can't give me the attention I need but that I will still be with him too...Well two days later he suggested we just do business together and only be friends and that things will be okay because I have another guy now. See when I told him I was going to see the other guy he said that was cool. So why all of a sudden he wants us to just be friends and focus more on business. And when we had a meeting the day he told me that. He asked how me and the guy is doing and if i think we will make it. The truth is there is no other guy. I thought it would help him give me more attention but instead the opposite happened. What do I do now?

So, I've been talking to this girl, Whitney.....for about 3 or 4 months and we have a really great time together, but we haven't started anything like dating...........So, I'm a Sophomore and she's a freshman and today......when I walked into my Health class, I see, written in cursive, "I love Jeff." ...and it was in the corner of the chalkboard, written kinda medium sized... And there was nothing else! Ya know when someone's trying to pull a prank, they wouldn't just write that??? And last semester in P.E., I know she saw my health class b/c that was the class we were hoping we'd have together, but didn't..... Do you think it's just a prank or not? WHAT?! lol thx. ......AND why would a girl e-mail you just saying, "hi =]" in big baby blue letters? xD

...and if I am, is it a problem? Well, yes, I know it is. My boyfriend is a lot older than me and he has a really low sex drive. Personally, I could do it at least once a day. But I end up having to take care of myself pretty much daily.
In every other way my boyfriend is perfect. But it goes leave me feeling a little unwanted, unattractive and unsexy.
I've even thought about having a relationship with girl, which is one of my fantasies. And my b/f encourages it, which is great. If she was as highly sexed as me, I could have great fun! Just don't know how to go about meeting a like minded girl.
What goes everyone think of my predicament? Should I just put up with it, and come to terms that I'm not gonna be getting much sex for the rest of my life?

My friend is 13 and she is like a sister to me because our parents get along really really well. I am 15 and i like this boy that goes to my school that is 14. Me and him get along and we flirt and stuff like that. I kinda get the feeling that he likes me back but im not sure yet.I mean he says that he misses me when im out of town, we talk on the phone, text and chat a lot, he doesnt go to the movies or partys and stuff unless i go and so on. Ok so one day i gave him my bestfriends mail...and now i regret doing that because they chat a lot..and since he's punk i've noticed that she has been changing her style and the music she listens to. I've asked her before why she's doing that and if she likes him but she always says that she would never do that to me and that she likes this other boy. So basically i feel that she is changing so he could like her. Any advice???

I think my male friend is falling for his FWB but he wont admit it, as he was never proud of her due to her weight issues. But I really think he enjoys her company and finds her very reliable and nice. I became friends with the girl and wanted to help her so I told her I will help her with her weight issues. I was supposed to hang out with a guy I've been flirting and making out with on his bday, but his old FWB got in the way. She came unannounced and invited him out and bought him a gift. i had a baby 7 months ago and still do not feel like having sex.. it feels more like a chore than a pleasure. i dont want to give oral or receive .. my man is soooo frustrated..but i cant do it..the thought of oral right now just turns me off. we do have other issues including trust .. and communication. i keep telling him we should be better friends since we have 2 kids together. he has tried cheating on me a couple times while pregnant..at my sons b-day party when i was 9 months pregnant. i have told him to "take a break" and stay with his family. i think i just need a break from the pressures of sex and all the arguing that comes with it since i dont have a want for sex. Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 6 months, and we have a good relationship for the most part. But lately we've been having communication issues, and I've been taking them personally.

On Friday he came over and I had the intention of breaking up with him. But I didnt. We watched Hostel. Usually when we "watch a movie" we're all over each other. We didnt try to get in each others pants like usual. We did still make out, but we talked about a lot of stuff and then we were sitting there and we were goofing off. Like I started laughing and I couldnt stop, then we "wrestled" over the remote, my stomache was growling and he was like "Dont make me carry you upstairs and feed you," It was the most fun I've ever had with him, while we were hanging out alone.

After all that I dont want to break up with him. He's actually trying to call me more now.

My question is, is this a good sign for our relationship, that the communication isnt a problem

As in, start a relationship? I mean, you can ask "Hey wanna go to the movies Friday night?" to anyone, who's just your friend, and stays your friend. I want to know how you start a relationship. Do I ask, "(Name) will you go out with me?" or "(Name) will you be my girlfriend?" Or is it not even that?
