I am going to host my first boy-girl party in the next couple of months. I am 13, will be almost 14 when I throw the party, and I want to throw the PERFECT party: no alcohol, no (older) strangers (just seventh graders), no sex, no disrupting my parents (who will be upstairs when I throw the party). The party will be half inside-half outside (to maximize the space I have) and it will be at night. I know it's unrealistic to think that I can have THE perfect party, but I want it to go well. My house is a good size, and so is my yard. My parents say no more than 50 kids, but I'm thinking about 100. Does anyone have GOOD tips for me on how to throw an awesome APPROPRIATE party? Also, what about invites? Should it be email, snail mail or phone? Please help me out.

As a dedicated group of people from all walks of life, we give some great advice. We're both female, and male, old and young, poor, and wealthy....and all nationalities. My question is, does anybody actually use our years or experience, and tears of heartbreak to better themselves....or have they already made up their minnds when they ask the question? I pour my heart out on here, like many of you...but I feel like very few listen. Am I right, or wrong? Anybody been helped with our advice?

Im a 16 year old girl and i'll tell you, since birth, i've gotten along better with guys! im still straight and like guys but i get along with guys alot better than girls! My best friend is a girl, and i have 2 more friends that are girls, but i get along with most of the guys i know! one of my closest friends is a guy and i tend to hang out with the guys in our little group more than the girls..and some people have problems with it.

The one who is closest is a guy i've known for years, but we became like brother and sister in teh last year and his gf hates it! she hates me! She gets soo mad every time i say something like "i love you loserface" and stuff like that and when i hug him and stuff like that.. and lord forbid when i stay over at his house! she goes nutty and says mean things when he's not around about me!

i understand its wierd to her for her bf to have another girl sleeping in his room, but why can't she get that were FRIENDS! theres nothing more, nothing less!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for six weeks now. When we are totally alone on the weekends... we are almost like in the "dating mode" (stand close, hold hands, hug/kiss etc.) But, when we are at school... He switches modes and we just look like were are good friends. I literally go through the whole entire week thinking he likes me less and less each day (because he doesn't show affection towards me during school... at all!) But, then the weekends come and he incredibly romantic and I am completely satisfied.

Why is he doing this?

What should I do?

Should I just start grabbing his hand while walking down the school hallway? or should I leave things alone?

Honest advice and suggestions please.

I catch him staring at me a couple of times (not a lot, just a couple of times) during the one class I have with him. Once, I got up to throw something out and he watched me get up, walk to the garbage, throw something out, then walk back. Sometimes when I say things during class (not related to anything of education, just some random humorous comment) he laughs. Whenever I talk, I catch him listening, even if it's not to him. Whenever someone talks to me, he listens. I've never actually really talked to him.

Does he like me? Just curious.

My nephew moved in with myself, my husband, and our four children about 3 weeks ago. He's 22 years old and doesn't have a job or car. We were under the impression that he was going to get a job , get on his feet and possibly resume college.

I went and bought nearly $300 worth of groceries to stock us for the rest of the month. Within 14 days he had gone through 24 rolls of toilet paper, 3 boxes of sausage, 21/2 loaves of bread, 2 gallons of juce, and a gallon of milk. He doesn't wash dishes, he doesn't clean up, he's on the phone or the computer for at least 12 hours a day and sleeps the other 12. He's using the washer and washing powder to wash 3 to 4 items of clothing EVERY DAY.

Most recently we have discovered that he's "not that serious" about getting a "gig" (job) because he wants to be able to go to school full time. I'm a full-time student myself and I can't afford not to be serious about my gig.

Please help (tactfully).

I have asked my wife not to do certain things like drink or go to bars but she has gone to a bar with a female friend and she has also drank a little and while driving with our kids and the drink was served by her famous friend. Not to mention, her friends have girls night out and certain type of men(gays) are aloud. Though I don't particularly believe gay life is right, I have some good friends that are and it really doesn't matter. I think that girls night should mean girls night out and no man should go period. I have lost the upmost respect and trust because my wife has not stood up to her friends to tell them that they are wrong about drinking all the time and going out. Or at least she should part from those people that pose such a problem to me. Am I wrong in thinking this?

What do I do if I got pregnant and told my friend and now she is trying to get pregnant just because I am???? Ok, so I am interested in this guy that I used to have classes with, but never talked to. I am not plannning on going out with him (or anyone) for about a year and a half. I do want to get to know him and stuff so that when I do date, if I'm still interested, we could maybe hook up. I don't "like" him, but he's the guy that comes closest.
