He's the only one I want, but I can't have him?

Ok, so I am interested in this guy that I used to have classes with, but never talked to. I am not plannning on going out with him (or anyone) for about a year and a half. I do want to get to know him and stuff so that when I do date, if I'm still interested, we could maybe hook up. I don't "like" him, but he's the guy that comes closest. I don't have any classes wtih him, and I AM NOT the type of person that would just start talking to him in the hall, when I do not know him. How can I get him to notice me?? I will be involved in an activity this summer with his best friend, so maybe that will help, but ya.... that's not until summer!

well, you can't really get someone to notice you unless you talk to them (unless you wear some silly outfit like a chicken suit, but that's not really an option here)

so gather up alllll that courage and try to talk to him
if you really don't think you can do it, try adding him to your instant messenger and get to know each other that way

If you're not bothering to date for a year and a half why are you so bothered by this boy? If he isn't anyone that you like why do you want him to notice you?

If you don't "like" him, then why bother? Plus you're not wanting to date for another 1.5 years so why think about it now? Wait until your time is up then decide who you like then, because I'm sure you'll change.
