As a dedicated group of people from all walks of life, we give some great advice. We're both female, and male, old and young, poor, and wealthy....and all nationalities. My question is, does anybody actually use our years or experience, and tears of heartbreak to better themselves....or have they already made up their minnds when they ask the question? I pour my heart out on here, like many of you...but I feel like very few listen. Am I right, or wrong? Anybody been helped with our advice?

I take so much advice from here. It has helped me to cope with my parents getting divorced and then her getting remarried. Just knowing that there are other people out there going through the same stuff that I go through helps me a lot. Thanks to everyone.

I must admit that sometimes these people come up with stuff that I never thought of it that way before and it makes sense of all this. Yea, I do! It has made some changes in my life.
It has helped me work though some tough times, by being able to express myself to an audience of people from as you said all walks of life and say what I did and why.
We get feed back, from you dirty slim ball to you did what you had to do. Now move on and do better.
But I think the most help I get is when I answer someone elses question. I think, would I condem him for that.
then why do I condem myself?

You're absolutely right. But I dont think thats true just on here, I think thats true in life as well. Friends and that may ask for your advice but they usually have already got a plan in mind and if you tell them to do the opposite they arent likely to take your advice anyways. You just need to let people make their own mistakes I guess, and I mean sometimes on here - people dont always have the best intentions when giving advice so I wouldnt always suggest they take it anyways.

I think the majority of people who ask questions are just looking for as many options and opinions as they can find.
I've asked questions and received some good answers. I've also received some really rude "answers" that have nothing to do with my question.
I think it's kinda cool to learn of others experiences. I may not take their advice but it does offer a different perspective.

Do you know, I have thought this myself.
It seems so odd that people ask the questions they do, on such an open 'channel' with so many differing answers.. I will 'bookmark' this question just to see if anyone has heeded your very good advice.

i would say that most of the people who ask questions in this particular category already have their minds made up and are just looking for validation. the way i approach it is to try and give them an alternate point of view so ,perhaps, they can better understand the ramifications of their decision.

Good ? I'll admit on some of my ?'s there have been some really good responses from people. Even reading from other peoples ? you see a lot of good "food for thought" answers. Just have to be smart about how to deal with your own situation.
