My boyfriend and I have been dating for six weeks now. When we are totally alone on the weekends... we are almost like in the "dating mode" (stand close, hold hands, hug/kiss etc.) But, when we are at school... He switches modes and we just look like were are good friends. I literally go through the whole entire week thinking he likes me less and less each day (because he doesn't show affection towards me during school... at all!) But, then the weekends come and he incredibly romantic and I am completely satisfied.
Why is he doing this?
What should I do?
Should I just start grabbing his hand while walking down the school hallway? or should I leave things alone?
Honest advice and suggestions please.

Maybe he's just not comfortable with showing affection in public? If it really bugs you, say something like "I really love the time we spend together on the weekends, but then when we're back in school I feel like you pull away from me." Be careful to be calm and light-hearted. He probably doesn't even realize he's doing it!

Maybe he thinks there is a certain time, and a place for being affectionate?? Maybe also he just doesn't want to get in trouble with any authority figure at school?? Each school has a different view on PDA. Talk to him, and try to find out why he's doing this?? Suggest to him, that if you want to kiss or something like that, to try, and take you somewhere secluded where you won't be caught?? I hope things work out for you.

He does this for one of two reasons. A- he likes somone else at school as well and doesn't want her seeing that he might be interested in you. OR B- he's using you for a squeeze on the weekends. Who knows, maybe both. Either way, demand respect, leave it alone, especially on the weekends. Stop hanging out with him. He's ashamed of you in public.

He might just be shy and not want to make a big scene in public, or he could be worried that being affectionate in front of a lot of people would embarrass you. I would ask him about it, rather than just grabbing him at school, because that might freak him out.
Its probably nothing big.

FIRST, tell him that this bothers you and let him answer as to why he's that way. If he says he doesn't know, dump him. He knows why. On the other hand, he might want to change it.
