I left an abusive relationship in July of 06. I worked very hard at getting through it, but along the way I made some bad choices. I slept with 4 or 5 people in about 4 months. In October I started talking to this guy online, from a dating site, we ended up taking on msn, and making plans to meet one weekend. I really liked him alot and I told him about my past relationship. We made plans to meet one saturday. So, friday i took my kids out of town to my mom and dads so i would have the whole weekend free. I got back into town on saturday and went shopping. I was so excited. I bough tnew clothes, makeup, and was just happy and excited. I went home and was going to start getting ready, when I started wondering if he was going to show up. So, i went to the store and bought someo minutes for my cell phone (he lived out of town and i couldnt cal long distance on my house phone) so i phoned him and the second he answered i could tell he was drunk. i asked if he was coming to town

I've been married for 2 years to the mother of my 2year old son. We have very little in common, including religion. She is depressed all of the time. I am a happy person in all aspects of my life except my relationship with her. I can't break off the marriage because I don't want to hurt my son. Our communication is bad and we don't agree on much. What should I do?

A guy that I'm really close to is dating this girl that I can't stand. I tolerate her b/c of him and he knows this. When she's around I want to bit__ slap her. I didn't like her b4 they started dating and now it's worse. She's around me all of the time. How do I get it thru her head to stay away from me without totally loosing it with her? In my workplace a guy loves a girl (who is my friend) and is trying hard to get her but she is not sure about him and about her feelings. She brings up all her problems to me and asks my advice. I also like this girl but never told her about my feelings.

I thought he was showing romantic interest.

But, when I ask him to join my husband and I for dinner, he is ok with it. So does it mean I had misread his signs and that it is purely friendship?

I just moved to a new city and been here just over a month now. My ex of 6 years and I broke up last spring and I've been taking a break, but being in a new city and not knowing anyone I turned to the internet to meet some girls. I'm ready to get back into the dating scene but all the girls I've met seem to be playin with me. Right now I kinda got this thing with one of em right now and lately it's like she's been avoiding me, thing is I don't know if that's true, but I don't know how else to take it. We were talking every night, then we met and kissed last weekend, since then tho we've barely talked and I would like to pursue something with her but I can't even get to talk to her. We know each other for almost six months now. By the beginning she told that she was single. without telling me she acted to show she was interested, but at any single conversation she talks about her ex. and I was confused
I got out of a 4 years relationships tried to others in vain. She got everything i like in a woman. The problem? she is the one who is backing up now.
I can't find the right way to tell her without losing her.

my boyfriend and i have been together for 16 months we both want to get married, to each other. we talk about it often. he asks me all sorts of weird questions like about land and houses and kids...we've looked at rings...the whole nine yards about our future together. he keeps saying he wants me to get outta college first, but then the other night he popped up and said he'd been thinking about marriage a lot that day while he was at work. i asked why? (because he'd already told me it would basically be 5 years since that is how long it will take to get my degree.) then he just dropped the subject...i don't understand him....hes going from wanting to, to wanting to wait it seems like and it is very frustrating. why wont he just ask me? you can be engaged for years before marriage....you don't have to do it right away.

My bf of 2 years just told me 2 days ago to get out of hise life because I was bringing him down. I am lost now. I still love him. I want to be his friend, but he does not want that. I feel like I can't go through life wiithout him. He was their for me . I only have 2 close friends. i can't even concentrate on my school work. wife wants controls of me from my daughter I have from a prior marriage i had in another state. wants to come with me without me telling my daughter and ex -wife she coming. My daughter is 7 y/o and i had to be at her last basketball game of the season. she wanted me not to go without her, but she changed her mind about going because i asked why I had to withold info about her coming with me. she get mad, I told her i wanted her to go, but she refused and then tell me I should go and be at my daughter's game. I went I asked her its okay 17 times. she its okay I get back. she said i disrespected by going to the game. she feel like she being played. she afraid of my ex-wife of us being together. I stay in the state for 14 hours. got there @ 9am and left @9:30 pm with my daughter which the last visit I had with her is 6 months ago. i spend more with her three kids I do mine own. what is thoughts on this. i ready call it quits on her.

He plays constantly, staying up all night. He's on layoff right now, but he does nohing but play this game. He spends more time with the game than with me or the kids. This man is the father of my 3 yr old daughter. We were soooo great when we were together he was the most amazing lover ...BUT was with somone for about 6 yrs before him and I and he never left her for GOOD. meanwhile I got pregnant and he allready had 3 children(boys) with her. I had my daughter and his B**CH made him move about 6 states away and we havent seen him in 2 years. So I recently met this guy and we totally hit it off. I've met his friends and he's met mine and we all get along. He's an undercover cop and works nights a lot. Last week he worked 72 hours on 7 hours of sleep so I know his schedule is tough for any social activities.

We used to talk almost everyday and now I'm lucky if I hear from him a couple times a week. He called me Sunday and we had great conversation and he apologized for his crazy work schedule and said he hoped we could make things work so we could hang out this week. Last night I gave him a call afterwork to say "Just called to say hey and see how your week's going. Talk to you soon." No response.

What should I think? Is he blowing me off? He recently got divorced too and I know he's not looking for anything serious, and neither am I, but I feel lost now... Thanks

I love her dont get me wrong but I dont know what to do about my life.Yes I know I just said my life & Im an adult, but Im scared.I wanted to major in Biochemistry/ Premedicine, but my mind has changed & she told me if I do decide to change my mind it's okay but every time she tells me it's okay she turns it around when I do what she said I could do.For ex.: If I choose to be a nurse, she'll say well didn't you say you didn't want to work below anyone? & then I'll feel bad about my decision.I don't want her to look the the evil witch in my life but I want her to understand me instead of revenging on me for my decisions.She got upset w/ me b/c I got a credit card then she turns around & later on tells me lets work out the dept situation we are both in & opens my mail/statements.@ times I see her living her life through me. She says she isn't. I don't know what to do. I want to come home from the university Im @ to the university's branch near home but I don't know to tell her.
