all my life i saw my family drink and had messsed themselves up BIG time..they would mess up the family parties by getting in fights or getting arrested!! or just acting plain stpuid!! and i promised myself i would never drink!! but now im turning 21 and i would like to try a margarita(never had one) would that make me a hippocrite?? ..if i drank a margarita?? on my bday?

I know how bad it is to talk bad things about other people, but I always do it anyway...and at the wrong place at the wrong time.... My best friend just brought up a conversation about how she thinks a girl at our school is annoying and I agreed everything she said and we started making mean comments about her. It just so happens that the best friend of the girl that we were talking bad was standing right next to us and was listening to everything we said. I didn't even realize it until my my best friend told me about it. I feel terrible talking behind her best friend's back. She was really nice to me too and all I did was say bad things behind her best friend's back. Now everytime I say "Hi" or just smile at her, she just glares at me and walks away. I know what I did was bad and that I shouldn't be talking nasty things about peoples' back, but I just really want her to forgive for saying the things I said and be my friend again... Now I don't know what to say to her. Any advice?

Ok..We started out as highschool sweethearts, she went from guy to guy and never went without a relationship. When she met me as a senior we fell in love and dated for 5 years. during the dating process I ignored her for a week well she found a guy at her work and kissed him and hung out with him. I pleaded for her to come back and she did. We married for 10 years about 3 years ago she developed a gambling addiction and it bankrupted the family. Then about 4 months ago she left me for a guy at her work. She told me that she fell out of love with me about a year ago. I told her that I would have done anything in the world to keep her but it was to late I lost my highschool sweetheart. I divorced her,we have to sons together and she gets no alimony or child support because I get my sons most of the time. What kind of girl does this? I was a good husband and father and put up with allot of issues with her over the years. Her parents past away when she was 20 and I've been there ever since

i met her in high school. she knew i liked her but i couldnt tell if she liked me the way i did her. i know we got along really well. shes like my sis i never had i told her and visa versa. now in college 2 yrs later. the second time i met her she gave me her # and soon after she invited me 2 her house for the 1st time. i told her 2 leave her pajamas on she said no but she changed her mind and left them on. it seemed like she wanted 2 b alone with me but her little cuz was in the way. and she didnt want her mom and grand ma to c me cuz they would embarras her. later she said "dont u have something 2 tell me". i told her no but i really wanted 2 tell her just not yet. she was tickleing me a bit and visa versa. another day she asked me 2 go work out with her and i did. i accidently went into the girls locker and saw her changing. yea she was shy and when i saw her soon after she gave a little smile. we are going 2 go out more 2. so does she like me?

my girlfriend and i have (or were rather)... were together for 3 years. fabulous time. if ever i reach the ripe old age of 80, i'll look back into this time of my life and it will only have one resounding memory. her.

6 months ago, she started having this inkling need to (gasp!) get married, and i'm definitely not ready yet! i mean, she's 4 years older and probably feels that i am the one for her. but as for me, even though i completely and thorougly love her, i just can't say yes yet because i don't have enough life experience to say yes to marriage.

so we broke up - and that was 6 months ago. and i still can't get over her.

did i do the right thing, or would it have been better had i just said that "yes, right now, i think you're the one for me and i want to stay with you and see where this takes us"? - knowing full well that it might not give her the fairy tale ending that she wants...

HELP!!! i need to get myself grounded again!

This guy and i are having sex with each other unprotected and i only knew him for about three weeks. He took me out to the movies and dinner and he payed for it. I spent the night at his house about 3 times and he spent the night at my house about 3 times also. One morning we even took a shower together and he washed my back for me, then said his grandfather used to say if someone wash your back its a good sign. so a while ago my ex broke up with me because he "needed a break" but told me that he really wanted to be together again in the future, and blah blah. well a little bit after the break up, we started arguing and really stopped talking. now months have passed, and we really haven't talked too much at all.
well now, he kind of knows that ive moved on a bit, and like someone else (an old flame which i guess never ended) and i really dont know how he's reacting, since i dont see him ever. but recently he sent me a random IM saying "nice" and then left without saying anything else.

what could this possibly mean? or am i just thinking about it too much?

but if hes just playing around with me....why is he doing that??!

im asian, 14, and short (when compared to my classmates, 5'2"). im ok looking and tanned (not that much, but yeah, and yes, i hate tans). i used to have short hair but then i "into' having long hair, but it looks stupid sometimes. i used to get compliments from my family (cousins etc.) when i geled up my hair (when it was short). so anyway question is would you prefer short or long hair? (i dont feel comfortable with short hair, all my classmates are used to seeing me with long hair)

he went away on a *voluntary* business conference, taking time off from work that he could have spent with me. every night he walks me from the parking lot to my residence building because of the high crime area. he promised to call at 930 and walk me back "on the phone" so i wouldnt be a target. but he didnt. not once this week. i pointed it out and he got mad at me. shouldnt i be mad at HIM?

Ok my gf is 15 going on 16 and me I'm about to finish up high school in june. Today we were fooling around and I was joking when I said lets do it without a condom and she said yeah at first I thought she was joking and I told her to quit playing around but she said she wasnt joking around. So I asked her why and she said "i want a baby with you because i love you, and i want a part of you and me to be together" So after talking to her about this for about 4 hours , telling her all the down sides and of this and that one day she might wake up and regret me and our baby if we have one. She stuck with her plan that she wants a baby and yeah tryed to get me to do it with her right then and to get started on it but I told I had homework I better go do and on the way out she told me to think about this cuz this is big. My mom has been gone since she left for work and me and my siblings left for school. I came home with my brother, but left around six-ish to eat dinner with my father. I got back home at nine and made note that my mom wasn't home. This was absurd, since she gets off work at six, but maybe she was out with her boyfriend, so I didn't think about it.
Come midnight, I'm the only one awake and my mom has yet to answer my 11 phone calls. I don't think its appropriate to call her boyfriend this late either.

What do I do now? Her car is gone- she's a recovering alcoholic so I'm not worried about her drinking but it just recently snowed ~2 feet and the roads are horrible, and she always answers her phone, no matter how inane the time is. I don't think she's sleeping at the boyfriends because she has work tomorrow and his house is about fifty minutes out of her way. I know I can't sleep until I get a bit of reassurance.

I'm really scared and I don't know if I should be or not. What do I do?

I have been dating my boyfriend for about 3 months. Nothing too serius going on so far but I am his first girlfriend ever..He is 22 and I am 18. It kind of scared me when he first told me he loved me because I have been with 2 other serious guys and he has been with no one and I did not know how to respond. But now things seem to be changing. I am in college as well and working part time. He always has t-w-th off from work and I try to work around his scehdule to try and spend time with him. But lately I have been working more and school is challening again so I have a hard time fitting him into my schedule. My main concern for this problem is that I feel like crap if I don't see him after 3 days and then when I do see him I am not at all excited. I am considering telling him how I feel in a few minutes and hopefully things will go alright. Any "helpful" comments would be nice. Hope this was not too cliche.
