Communication contributes a lot in intimacy. Knowing whatever your friend or partner likes , dislikes, principle and talking it with him or her creates a special bond between the two of you. Touching, as in a pat in a shoulder, a rub in the back, or just holding hands conveys intimacy.

It would have to be the spark set when a couple finishes a chore or accomplishment that at one time seemed impossible to conquer. The other would be that time when being held seemed to overtake the stress and turmoil that day had brought you. And of course the all time winner to me is the eating and the eating couples share during intimacy.

cook together, ttravel together, and just take a walk together. haha, i know this sounds a bit lame, but it actually strengthens bonds

apart from sex.....u can have smooches.....most romantic is holding hands...foldling with it....playing with fingers...soft stuff
