I know how bad it is to talk bad things about other people, but I always do it anyway...and at the wrong place at the wrong time.... My best friend just brought up a conversation about how she thinks a girl at our school is annoying and I agreed everything she said and we started making mean comments about her. It just so happens that the best friend of the girl that we were talking bad was standing right next to us and was listening to everything we said. I didn't even realize it until my my best friend told me about it. I feel terrible talking behind her best friend's back. She was really nice to me too and all I did was say bad things behind her best friend's back. Now everytime I say "Hi" or just smile at her, she just glares at me and walks away. I know what I did was bad and that I shouldn't be talking nasty things about peoples' back, but I just really want her to forgive for saying the things I said and be my friend again... Now I don't know what to say to her. Any advice?

Why don't you write her a note, and put in in her locker or backpack? It's easier than walking up to her and saying sorry, because at the moment she probably doesn't want to listen.
It's good that you know it was a mistake. Just write her some of the things that you just said, and tell her how much you value her friendship. Say how you know you were wrong, and ask for her to please forgive you. Don't hold anything back. Write from your heart <33
After you give the note, continue to smile at her and say hi, and one day she might just walk up and smile back.
I think a note to BOTH girls would be good - the one you were talking bad about, and also the best friend who overheard.
PS. email or AIM is no good... either write the note or say sorry in person. It will seem more sincere. You seem like a really nice person; I'm sure she'll forgive you.

What you need to do is ask her to speak with you privately and then take total responsibility for what you did. You know I blew it - I was gossiping about your friend behind her back. It really had nothing to do with what is true about her and everything to do with me. Sometimes, it makes me and others feel good to put people down and we just get into it like a bad habit. Anyway, I know I made a mistake and hurt your feelings. I'm really sorry and I know I can't make up for what I did, but I hope you can forgive me and that we can start over on being friends. I really learned my lesson so I'm glad you heard what I said so that I know it's wrong so I can change.
You can even offer to apologize to the girl you were saying mean things about - if she knows about this - if her best friend thinks it's a good idea.

First, you need to ask yourself: if that other girl, who was standing near by, hadn't heared your conversation would you still feel bad? And if you answer yes, then go find this girl at your school (the one you talked bad about) and ask for her forgiveness. From then on, it's up to her whether she wants to forgive you or not. Good luck! We all make mistakes after all especially at the age when we want to fit in.

You could start by saying sorry and hope that she will give you another chance. Trust is a hard thing to get back, you might have to work at it a bit. Good luck.

you should go up to her and say sprry.
tell her you didnt really mean to hurt anyone but you realize that you made a mistake and that you wont do that again.
if she ignores you and still doesnt want to listen to you, just continue saying hi to her and the casual. but dont.. keep talking about how you're sorry. or that might just make her more mad.

i all so think you need to start with sorry. no matter how much u have to swallow pride. but all so let it be a learning experience. do not talk about others unless it is for there benefit. got some thing to say? say it to there face. be for you say sorry think of how you would feel if it was done to you. one other thing. if some one starts a bitching session again with you, STOP IT
