I'm having a traditional Vietnamese wedding where the dinner consists of 10 dishes. Usually this takes up all the space for a centerpiece, but I don't want the table to be bare when guests arrive. So, what type of centerpiece would be nice and portable where we can move when the food is served?

I think its impossible...I have been trying months already, but no result. I've heard so many times "omg you are hot" or whatever... but still nothing.
What is the problem???

I have been dating a guy for almost 6 months (we're both 25 years old). Everything is going great with our relationship in every aspect and I am starting to care for him and feel like I am falling in love. But, we have not literally mentioned the words 'boyfriend and girlfriend' to each other yet, even though all of our friends say we are and I feel like we are. We met at an online dating site; I discontinued my subscription months ago and he is still on there and recently updated a few items in his profile. A while ago he said he forgot to cancel his subscription and it automatically resigned him up. I can see he is still slightly active on the site. This is now giving me doubts about how serious he is about the relationship we do have.
How do I go about talking with him about where we stand in the relationship without scaring him away? Do I bring up the fact that I saw he updated his profile on the dating site and ask why he's still on it? Any suggestions are welcomed.

Okay theres a really pretty girl in my Intro to Business class that I'd like to talk to in hopes of maybe asking her out on a date. Only problem is it's a class of like 250 people so that doesnt give much room for talking unless you sit near each other which we dont sit close enough to chat and we have assigned seats so its not like I could go sit next to her. I really dont even know if she knows I exist and I dont know her first name, just her last. Having said that, if by happenstance we should run up on one another somewhere outside of class what's the best way to meet her without looking like a stalker (which I am definitely not!)? What should I say to her if I wanted to talk to her? All good answers are appreciated. Thanks!

Btw I'm a freshman in college and I dont know how old she is. No more than a year or two older and it's possible she's the same age. I dont really know.

My wife has told me that she would like to be close friends with a man she recently met. She says there is no sexual attraction (I belive her), but that she likes to talk to him and would be very disappointed if I objected. Initially I said ok, but she just told me that she is planning to have him over to our house one afternoon when I will be at work. She says I am welcome to meet him but she doubts I would like him.

My feeling is that it is inappropriate for married people to have close friends of the opposite sex (unless the friend is really both of their friends or perhaps the friendship preceeded the marriage).

I am not the type of person to tell my wife what she can and cannot do. I want my wife to have as many friends as she wants. An opposite sex friend that is part of a group (think Elaine on Seinfeld) is fine. But a close friendship between my wife and some guy I never met seems wrong.

Am I overreacting or should I stand my ground?

So there's this guy named Matt, He's a grade older but he's 19, I've known him for eight years when I was in third me and his lil bro *my grade* always fought and Matt always defended me. He and I have been really close since then including the fact that he lives a block and a half away.

Lately he's been confusing me, being more protective of me when I told him I used to cut, I've been sick for the last four days missing school, so when I called to see what I missed in our Japanese class, he told me he'll tutor me to catch me up, and he's a great cook and today he offered to make alot of chocolate based sweets and come and watch movies. He's never done this for any of his closer friends.
He also likes giving me hugs, teasing me and challenging me to sports that he knows he's better at. And likes to steal my hot chocolate... He treats me differently then his own sister...

I want to ask him to Junior Prom, should I? and how I've never been good with asking things like this...

He's a romantic and very sweet. He surprised me with dinner overlooking the ocean and then took me to the beach where his freinds had set up a blankets, rose petals, roses and tiki torches, where he told me he loved me. I want to surprise him with something cute like that for when he gets back from being gone for a week up north for work... ideas? (we live in san diego) but we are under the age of 21.

Its seems like now a days there are more divorces than succesful marriages. Out of those "successful" marriages only a few give the participators what they need. we are social animals how can we keep together without the word married. is it possible?

My mother in law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year, and has been living with my husband and me since then. To say that it is a trial everyday is speaking lightly... my husband can't handle the stress of it any longer and has decided that it is time to place her in a home that can provide the care that we just can't ...physically and medically any more. How do you get over the guilt? We have tried to talk about it, but it's hard. I just want to make sure we are making the right decision. Tell me about your own experience and maybe that will help me deal with ours. Peace.

there is this guy at school who i think is cute and i got one of my friends to talk to him. that was on monday she told me that she tried passing a note but it took to long to get there and back so they only talked a little bit. i have yet to kno what he said cuz she wont tell a strait up answer one min. she says she wants to introuduce us the next she is saying he doesnt want to meet me. then my friend asked her y he said that (cuz he dont have a gf) and she is saying that he never did say that. so yea im confused. so since she isnt helping i have another friend that knows him and could talk to him for me. the thing is. the other girl, i think she told him my name. so if she did and then i get sum1 else to talk to him for me, it will seem like im telling everyone except him. idk what to do. im just really scared of him saying no or something. the other girl said that he told her that hes never has a gf b4. hes confusing. he seems nice but also sumtimes like a jerk (but not a bad one)

This guy says that he really likes me, he always tells me that he thinks I'm super cute and stuff like that. He me two cards for V-Day (because I lost the other one) and he walked to my house from his (not that far) to give me the second one. When he gave it to me, he kissed me on the cheek and then left. In almost conversation I had with him after that, he always asks how I felt about the kiss, how he told all his friends and took a picture of me and wants to show all his friends. He calls me at the most 4 times a day and if I say I'll call him back, he calls me back before I get a chance to call him. He always asks to hang out and talks to me on the phone for at least 1hr 1/2 (I always end the phone convos first). It seemed to me that he really liked me but then he told me that he has had "6 plus 10" girlfriends. Does he really like me or does he just want a 17th girlfriend?

My friend recently broke it off a few months ago with a girl (also a friend of mine) he was dating on & off for 3 yrs. He really liked her, thought she was beautiful & funny, enjoyed spending time with her. He couldn't really explain why he broke it off except that he couldn't see himself with her forever but didn't know why. He thinks he's jaded & doesn't know if he can ever be happy w/ relationships. He stopped seeing her, but they have since remained friends. When I asked him about this, he said he does not have one bad thing to say about her & enjoys talking to her. However, last month he agreed to be set up on a blind date with a single mother, & is now dating this person. My friend is obviously hurt, & I'm confused. If the ONLY problem was really that he couldn't commit to his previous girlfriend, why has he taken up with another woman right away, & one with such a responsibility? & how long/successful can this new relationship last if he does have relationship issues?
