Okay theres a really pretty girl in my Intro to Business class that I'd like to talk to in hopes of maybe asking her out on a date. Only problem is it's a class of like 250 people so that doesnt give much room for talking unless you sit near each other which we dont sit close enough to chat and we have assigned seats so its not like I could go sit next to her. I really dont even know if she knows I exist and I dont know her first name, just her last. Having said that, if by happenstance we should run up on one another somewhere outside of class what's the best way to meet her without looking like a stalker (which I am definitely not!)? What should I say to her if I wanted to talk to her? All good answers are appreciated. Thanks!

Btw I'm a freshman in college and I dont know how old she is. No more than a year or two older and it's possible she's the same age. I dont really know.

thats how I met my wife. The class size was 250. What I did was very smart. At the end of the class, I walk next to her pretending my car was in the same area. Then you go, Well did you understand what the teacher was saying about the main idea? hey my name is Anthony by the way. If you ever want to have cafe I am open. ;-) smile and then say, a pretty girl like your self would not go out with a guy like me. I am just asking for cafe. just make her laugh ;-)Or you can do what my friend did . after class rent a cute dog and have the dog go to her ;-)

Maybe rethink - do you seriously only want to speak to this girl because she is pretty? You sound as if you don't actually have any idea what she is like. It may be really disappointing for you if you finally work up to speaking to her and find out she is horrible! If you still wanted to make friends with her, try catching her outside the class, and say that you saw that she was in your class and you were wondering whether she had notes on a certain topic. Gradually build up with the small talk - weather, the class, the lecture. Then leave it. Do this a couple of times, and suggest going for a coffee in a lunch break. Work on it from there.

First thought through my mind:

Throw a paper airplane at her when the prof has his back turned on you. Pray that it goes straight at her.

Write "Open me" or something and then inside explain why you're throwing paper airplanes at her. Tell her that since you've gone through so much effort to talk to her she could meet you at such and such place in the school.

It sounds cheesy but hey, if I was in college and some guy went through so much effort just to talk to me, I would be flattered and that much more interested in him.

Another thought: In a class of 250, if you say that you noticed she was in your class, it sounds a bit stalkerish. At least to me. After all, how would you notice especially if you don't sit near her? You can't quite make a comment like "You're in my class aren't you?" sound like "I just happened to notice..."

If you happen to run into her outside of class. Mention your class, mention that you had noticed her. Aks her if she has a boyfriend. Ask her if she would like to go out, or get her number and see if she would like to talk and get to know you.
OR, write her a note or a card,(penning about the same stuff as mentioned above) and give it to her either before or after class.
