i need help fast...should i call the cops?!?!?

so these girls are calling me and talking crap and i dont even know who they are.
they WILL NOT stop calling. as i am writing this they are calling me. They keep saying they're gonna beat me up and slit my throat. Should i call the cops now? or is there someone else i should call?
i need answers FAST.

You could try ringing your phone company and having their number blocked if you know it, or tell them you are getting abusive calls and they might be able to trace it and block it.

I'm not sure the police could really do much with just phone calls to go on, even though you must be scared witless the cops won't have much to go on.

If you have caller id make a note of the numbers that are calling you, and yes, call the cops. And the phone company, you might want to get your number changed. Also, stop answering the phone. Don't talk to them, if you talk to them, it just keeps them going.

You can also do call back on them, later in the day, *something and see if someone else answers the phone. Then talk to them calmly about your problems. A friend of mine did that, and she got the boys' parents, and they stopped the prank calling really quickly.

Tell your parents now!!! They may help, if they are not there then answer the phone and ask what their problem is and that you've done nothing wrong... If it continues which im guessing it prob will then call the police but as a last resort as that may trigger it off and make the hole thing worse. See if you can reason with these girls first... really could do with more info on the situation. x

Telephone harrassment and serious threats are illegal in most states. My suggestion, tape the conversations for a few days, but first before you do that, immediately notify the police and file a report. Another thing you can do is to notify your telephone provider and they may change your number. You don't have to go to the police station, they will come to your home to take the report and certainly they will give you the right information regarding this. This could be serious and you must protect yourself by filing a police report first.

Of course you need to call the police. Even if it is some prank it is better safe than sorry especially since you are worried that they will do what they say. If it is some kids then they will learn that what they are doing is NOT funny and you will still be SAFE. So I would definately call the police and then get caller id on my phone.

It is against the Law to threaten anyone's life. I would call the Police. If it's someone playing a stupid joke, they need to see just how funny they are. Record the conversation, and keep the number on caller ID.

Of course Call cops!! The terroristic threats over the phone are illeagle .
murderous threats are jail time.Get a number if you can from*68 or *69 and calmly give it to Dispatcher in as adult form as possible. if you have Record on your ans,machine use it to get voice images.

They are making terrorist threats and if this is for real you should have called the cops a while ago.Do it, if you are serious.Then make sure that your parents know of the phone calls, they can be called harassing and that's a against the law.Hope you are safe.

yes call the cops so that it is atleast on file, then have someone else answer the phone and have them explain that there actions are very stupid and immature. sounds like they are trying to bully you probably trying to impress each other. be the better person and ignore it they will eventualy stop. sounds like high school bullshit. reporting them to your phone company sounds like a good idea aswell
