I believe that a woman losing her last name in favor of her husband's name is an outdated and sexist tradition. I think the ideal situation (for the sake of equality in our modern times) would be for my husband and I to combine last names (Mason-Rohloff or Rohloff-Mason). Do people think this is "too much" of a last name?
Other options we are considering are:
1. Same as above, minus the hyphen
2. Putting my maiden name as my middle name (which I really don't want to do because my middle name is in honor of my uncle who almost died before I was born).

I was with my boyfriend for just a week, but we've known each other for 7 years. I felt like he was the one, and he told me he would never do anythign to jeapordize what we have. But, a week later, he got sent away for a long, long time, and I don't know if I'm ever even going to see him again. My heart aches from not being able to see him or hear his voice and some days i just feel like I can't go on. What should I do???

We're 21. My husband is leaving for Iraq in april. We just got married last July. We have an 11 month old daughter. He used drugs when we dated and when I got pregnant I told him to stay away from me until he stopped. So when our daughter was 3 1/2 months old he came around and told me he was joining the army. That was in June, in July we got married so we could all be together while he did the army thing. I thought he was a normal guy and once the drug using stopped he would level back out. I was wrong. His problems are so deeply seeded and complicated. He has a drinking problem and an anger problem. He is selfish and dishonest. He curses and gets hostile towards me in front of our daughter. I'm fairly certain he may hit me someday if he doesn't get help. I've told him I think he needs help, done a whole bunch of talking about how I care about him and worry about him and how all this stuff hurts me, but he does not care. I worry he will be worse when he gets back from Iraq.

I think I am a bad-looking guy (Ugly Boy). My best friend thinks her boyfriend is gay. They've been together more than 3 yrs and they sleep together almost every night. She just confessed to me that she is still a virgin after all these years! She told me he tried to have sex with her early in the relationship but she was scared at that time so she resisted (she was 17). After that, he no longer tried. Since then whenever they make out (very rarely), he cuts short of actually doing it or does not even attempt to make her want to do it. This is freaking me out..! I have a husband that acts like he is obessed with sex. it doesn't matter if i played it easy by giving him that at night he still wakes me up in the morning wanting more? i have two kids, and i watch them all day, he goes to work.
