How would you describe a "PLAYER"?

In my mind, a "player" is someone who plays with others emotions. An example would be a guy who dates multiple women, while either telling each one, or giving them the impression, that they are the only one.

Someone who dated many, but was honest about it isn't someone I'd label as a "player".

I see a player as hmm two different things. He can either have:

1. Multiple women at the same time
or
2. He can move from woman to woman

For one you can also call this a cheater. Basically I think a player has one girl then a few or a lot of women on the side that he sleeps with too. That way he is "playing" all of them.

For two he has one woman only but he doesn't have long term relationships like maybe a month or two and then he gets bored and dumps her and finds another woman until he gets bored again. He is then "playing" every woman he "dates" because he's fooling them into thinking he wants a good relationship when he really just wants the sex.

It really does vary though. I know some woman would call a man with a lot of "baby mamas" a player because he just sleeps around. I think "player" for men is equivalent to "whore" for women. It's just a guy that sleeps around.

I have assumed it means a man who uses women, who lies to one or to more in order to have as many as he likes. A man who has no backbone, no standards by which to conduct himself. This is a guy who will use any and every thing available to him to get a woman into his bed. When he is done with her he has no concept or notion of what it means to be her and if he does he ignores it.

I freely admit that I currently have 2 lovers. But they each know the other exists and the sexual activity is not frequent nor is one man ever "following" the other.

And until very recently the number of lovers was 3. I don't consider this "playing" anyone as all know the score. The sex is "safe" when it does occur and is not the basis for either relationship but just an occasional expression of caring and respect.

Were I lying to these men, using them and tossing them aside without regard to their feelings I would be a player myself, of the female kind.

So, yeah I think if my definition is correct that I want nothing to do with them and believe I can smell one a mile away. If they want intimacy without commitment then there is an honest way to do it. It isn't for everyone and they won't find many women who will agree to it, but we are out there.

One who participates in a game or sport if you want to get technical. For real a player is someone who sees whats out there. A lot of people think that a player cheats on gf/bf's but not true.

Well, I think I was played. This guy from work got my number and said he would call. Then he didn't call until a month later. By then, I was with someone else (Thank God I found him) and it was too late. He acted bummed out, but I think that he had a "list" of girls and the ones he really wanted to go out with didn't work out.

Anyway, he tried for about a month off and on to go out with me, but I kept telling him no. Finally he got the idea. I told him we could be friends and we talked a little, but now he doesn't talk to me. Haha.
