It won't help my situation because most marriages end unilaterally, like mine.
If you want to know the legacy divorce will leave your children, read this book. If you want to understand your own feelings as a child of divorce, read this book.

By finding your own experiences affirmed and amplified in the many case studies found in the book you will begin to find ways to break the chain of selfishness and pride that kills a good marriage. It may help you avoid passing this legacy of pain on to your own children.

This book should be required reading for for any child of divorce and/or the parent who wants to understand the mayhem they will be loosing in the lives of their children as they divorce.

If you are thinking of having an affair or leaving your spouse or telling your spouse about an affair ( faux "confessing") and you have kids. THINK AGAIN and read this book. This is not 60s, 70s 80s, ME ME ME pop Psychology but an actual study.

I wish I would've read this before my marriage ended in divorce. I would give anything to be a whole family again especially for my children. The girls are no longer a part of his life because he has married his girlfriend and are trying to have a baby and now her child and the one they are having together are the only children he cares about.
