My best friend thinks her boyfriend is gay. They've been together more than 3 yrs and they sleep together almost every night. She just confessed to me that she is still a virgin after all these years! She told me he tried to have sex with her early in the relationship but she was scared at that time so she resisted (she was 17). After that, he no longer tried. Since then whenever they make out (very rarely), he cuts short of actually doing it or does not even attempt to make her want to do it. This is freaking me out..! She thinks he is gay, could she be right?

Again, if you have to ask the question...don't you already know the answer? He's either gay or a shim.....I'd let that go. Three years and he hasn't really attempted again. I don't know a straight man that wouldn't.

This does not mean he is gay. He may have someone on the side that is giving him the sex he wanted with her the first time around. He did not go three years without it. I think she needs to investigate this some more before you say anything. But I do not think he is gay from what you have said. Most boys who are having sex, continue to have sex. Therefore if they get involved with someone that is a virgin and their hormones say get some sex then they are going to do just that.

theres got to be other signs for someone to be gay, either he is gay, or he is seeing other people and getting "sex" from them. 3 years is a long time to have an almost plutonic relationship with the opposite sex, and sleep in the same bed. She must have an enormous amount of patience. Tell her to confess her true feelings about what is going on, and tell her that she needs to tell him that its okay, she cares for him and wants to be intimate with him, and why doesn't he feel the same.

Well he cant be gay if she doesnt want to do anything with him shes the who resisted it and so now that will pull him further away if he wants to get some he probably is doing it with someone else. Maybe hes not comfortable with her anymore! you know men do get sick of the same person all the time. Plus why would it freak you out if its not your relationship?? Let their relationship be between them.

Yes!!! Or he is getting it somewhere else. Being a young man and sleeping with someone every night with no attraction is freaky, you are right. I would advise her not to sleep with him at all and move on.

He problably cares a lot about her, and do not want to hurt her feelings. He better hurry before she goes nuts trying to find out how good it is and cheat on him

maybe..she should try talking to him about it. Sometimes people who are together for a long time just lose interest in each other..that could be it.

he probably isn't doing anything because he is simply going by what she did the first time she should talk to him and let him know how she feels and ask him how he feels. but for god's sake DON'T ask him if hes gay!
