Everybody wants to see,
A girl that I know I can't be.
No matter what I say or do,
A perfect person walks on through.
Although she's non existent,
My family, friends, and peers,
Seem to see her everywhere,
But when I look, she disappears.
She jumps through math with straight As,
While I barely lag behind.
She's dating every boy in school,
While they're only on my mind.
She wakes up, takes a shower,
Needs no makeup on her face.
While I slowly walk beside her,
Use more makeup than this race.
I don't know why I must be her,
When I could just be me.
I guess she is the new me,
And I'm leftover debris.
The boy I'd only dream of,
He is nowhere near my reach.
Yet he's standing right beside her,
And she doesn't even see.
She takes it all forgranted,
As it's taken from her side.
And only when she sees it,
does she even realize…
