You could just kiss him, but if you're not brave enough to do that, you could wait until you are alone sometime and then say something like, "I really want to kiss you right now," and see what he says. If he doesn't like the idea, you can blow it off as just a temporary feeling, and if he does like it, he'll either kiss you or tell you to kiss him, and then you will.

Before you do anything, you need to consider if you're willing to change your relationship with him. If you feel more for him than he does for you, you may end up without his friendship. On the other hand, if you don't move forward with it, you'll never know. Depending on your current friendship with him.....why don't you just walk up to him (when you're alone somewhere with him and not with other friends), say something like "I was just curious." Then quickly put your hands on his face, pull him to you and kiss him. Keep it light and a bit brief, and see where it goes.

Start with a peck on the cheek. I am assuming you see him a lot.
Then work up to a peck on the lips then go full blown frenchy.
Or just kiss him. I can almost gaurntee he won't mind.
