I just got my heart broken. I've been through heartache before and I know it will all be fine, but right now it hurts. Do you know of anything I can do to help keep my mind off it or to accept the fact that it's over and not meant to be?

Have you ever heard of the rules of masculinity, and do you think all guys should follow them?

I looked it up on Wikipedia, and it lists 7 rules of being a man:
Physical--virile, athletic, strong, brave. Unconcerned about appearance and aging;

Functional--breadwinner, provider;

Sexual--sexually aggressive, experienced. Single status acceptable;

Emotional--unemotional, stoic;

Intellectual--logical, intellectual, rational, objective, practical,

Interpersonal--leader, dominating; disciplinarian; independent,
individualistic (applies to western societies);

Other Personal Characteristics--success-oriented, ambitious; proud, egotistical (applies to some societies); , moral, trustworthy; decisive, competitive, uninhibited, adventurous.

I'm only 16, and I don't think I'm all of that yet so I think I won't be a proper man when I'm older. I don't like sports, and I sometimes worry about how I look. Would you only date a guy who is exactly like that list?

Nightmare..on November 20 I found out that my h & I were expecting twin on the 21 after an Ultrasound we were told that we were having a molar pregnancy almost die after the D&C had to be giving 1 liter of blood, now I am dealing with the lost, the though that I might need chemotherapy But to add up to our grief my husband daughter,whom I had invited from France to spent the holidays with us decide to tell him that she have dought that he is her father after 20 years of child support she inform him that her mother cheated on all her husbands so she wants a DNA my husband refuse and I agree she then told him that he is stupid to do so and she also saw fit to tell me that while she love me she is glad that I have lost every pregnancy me and her father ever had because if I had carried the babies full term they will replace her
I had never been so hurt in my life nor fell more hatred
how do I deal with someone like that she is 20 year old when do you kick your child out of your life

I'am in love with a girl who dosent even know it!!!! She lives in the city that I want to move to,,,,,She is a student living on campus... And I want move there(not because of her, but cause its close to work!) She has told me before that she loves me!!! Im Danielle, can you please help me on advice.
im 18,in a year n 1/2 relationship with my bf scott, we are getting engaged (waiting for the ring to come from resizing it) anyways well our relationship is strong and we feel alot about each other, i love him so much and believe he is the "one"..so scott is 17 turning 18 in feb he is at college at the moment studying to become a policemen,well he now wants to quit college because he wants to move to spain and you cannot be a policemen in spain unless ur spanish (he is english) so he wants to move over here now even tho he has 7months left but his controling mother says no and if he doesnt finish the course she wants nothing to do with him.
I can see he is hurting and i tryed talking him thru on what he really wants but im scared his parents are going to blame me for him dropping college yet im 100% supportive in what he wants , what shall i do? all advice needed please. No as*holes commenting stupid sh*t please. Thank You

My mother makes easily over a $100,000 a year and is only paying my younger sister to go to college. I have always wanted to go to college but she has said she doesn't have the money. I am struggling to make ends meet and I thins its unfair and favortism. Shoud I have a right to an education and should my mother make sacrifices to make my life easier. She always asks for my help and all I want is an education. What steps should I take ?

My boyfriend and I are recently in college. We have been dating for almost three years. But being together so long, some relationships get so comfortable together that they start to lose the romance and fun. I try coming up with ideas to get us out and do something fun together. He does his sweet talk by saying OK i'll try harder next time. Also everyday he'll wake up and decide to chill with his friends by staying up until 6am with his buds drinkin, going out to bars and never going to class. (He's a smart kid with a 3.9 GPA at college). Never once in the past year has he decided to wake up and take me out. I keep trying talking to him about the situation, once again he'll say I will try harder but never does. Should I stay mad at him and keep giving him that talks. What should I do to make him just have a day (just me and him) and try to bring the romance back? Any suggestions?

ok....we've been dating for over 5 months now and ever since we started dating sh'e's always done this one thing that always got me to think a little. I'd say something funny to tease her n she'll sometimes literally get up n say in a sarcastic voice "fine, if u dont like me ill leave"..n sometimes she really attempts too lol...but i think shes just playing cuz SHE KNOWS ill always be there to pull her back and not let her leave....is this just a lil game of hers? should i really let her get up n not pull her back n see how she reacts?...even on the pohne sometimes shed be like "u know what, i dont wanna talk to u" and hang up...but she always calls bak in like 5 min cuz i wouldnt lol.....its funny cause i know if i did something like that to her even as a joke, id prolly never hear the end of it....but i wouldnt even try, i love her too much..i dont wanna get up and walk away from her, I wanna BE WITH HER......is it just the way she is and means nothing?

i meet a person and i do like him a lot. he told me that he likes me as well but he always ask for a kiss ?

I already can accept that a guy who does not call is NOT that into me. But, there is this one guy who keeps initiating contact and suggesting we do stuff. I say sure. Then, he never calls.

He sent me an email last week full of excuses why he didn't and he would call if I was still interested. I was non-chalant about and just said "call whenever...I am pretty busy." I never would let a guy know I would wait for him if he isn't into me.

What I really wanted to say is "dude...look I know you're not that into me so you're off the hook. don't worry about ever calling me again." But I guess there is no point in that hostile behavior.

By the way, this dude is 37 almost 38. So, I would think someone is done with dumb games by now.

My girlfriend and I just broke up after 10 months of dating. Everything was terrific between us. I loved her more than anyone I've ever been with. She was perfect to me in everyway.

The problem was that she would not deal with my 5 and 6 year olds. They are both sweet little girls and adored my GF. This summer my GF spent a few days here and there with me and the kids. Everything seemed ok. She pressured me to meet them at the beginning of the relationship, but I made her wait 4 months to make sure it was something serious before I involved my daughters.

Now she tells me that she would marry me, except for the fact that I have the girls. She is afraid they would hold her back and not let her travel when she wanted to. I have them 50% of the time (every other week) and she's afraid of the intrusion on her life-style.

What do I do? Why was it ok for 8 months and now it's not. I love her so much and I hurt so bad right now, I just don't understand.

i have never been on a date, had a kiss, or even had a boyfriend...im a junior in high school and prom is coming up soon...guys flirt with me and when i flirt back they flirt more, but when i do something stupid like go and fall for them, they run. Why am i always just a friend and never anything more...i just want somebody to love me and want to be more than friends with me..... every guy i have asked out has rejected me...only one has ever thought about my feelings...why am i left out? i dont understand.....

How many children do you think are surfing the net looking for attention? I had my first experince where some female acting 26 got me in a email secession which I find out it's a minor!

Adults can get in big trouble because children proposing as adults. You think this person is real but to find out your baited in a lie.

I learned a big lesson never use cyborg space for companionship. To dangerous. I think I can detect teen predators looking for attention now.

Has this ever happen to anyone else?
What's the signs?

I met a guy on holiday in Hong Kong a while ago, He had to go back to Adelaide for work but promised to come back to me for good as soon as he could.

We have kept in touch almost every day since. He says he still loves me etc but lately he's never home if I call him unexpectedly, he's doing stuff that is just really out of character for him. I have spoken to him about it but he just makes excuses for not being home (late at night, early mornings etc) and says Im being silly.

He texted me from a mobile a while ago. He told me he doesn't have one and said it belonged to his mate.

I think it's his phone though, he just doesn't want me to know he has one.

Can someone call the number for me to see who answers it? I live in Hong Kong so he would know it was me if someone called it from here. If I can find out he's lying about the phone, I will know he's up to something.

I really love him very much and won't be able to move on while I have any doubts. Please help me.

I'm dating a guy and sometimes he talks about a girl he used to date. They dated like 8 years ago and were Friends with Benefits for about 6 months but that's it. My girlfriend and I jsut got together and were both doing this for the first time?

Were both sophomores and this is the first time either one of us has been with anyone. I was talking to her on the phone and then our relationship came up. She said that she didn't really now what she was doing and was kinda getting pressure from her parents that she shouldn't be in a relationship. Then she said that she dind't think we should be in a relationship yet. I'm really confused about what is going on and I told her that I would be here when she was ready. I can't figure out what she is feeling right now. Is she getting cold feet or is she jsut trying to figure things out? I really like her and I don't know waht to do.
