I'm dating a guy and sometimes he talks about a girl he used to date. They dated like 8 years ago and were Friends with Benefits for about 6 months but that's it. He asked if I saw a picture of her, talked about her job, said we are the same star signs, stuff like that. Could he still be hooked on her after 8 years? Is he maybe just trying to make me jealous or impress me? Thanks!!!

It makes no difference either way. He sounds like bad news. Tell him you're really not interested in this girl and if he's still so interested then maybe he should try dating her instead of you. Find someone else. You don't need this guy.

It could go 2 ways. Maybe he's interested in having a Friends With Benefits relationship with you and no serious commitment at this time. He could also be still hung up on his former girl. Some guys can hold onto someone for a very long time because the break-up hurt them deeply and they can't forget. The best thing to do is to be honest about your feelings and concerns. Talk to him and find out for sure before you move forward with this relationship.

I did this same thing, talking about my ex with my new girlfriend (now my wife). I was not trying to make her jealous, not at all. But a great bulk of my relationship experience was tied to my ex, and I seem to talk a lot anyway about what is on my mind. However, I was stuck on my ex at the time. I got over my ex though and everything turned out great. So try talking to him about it and ask direct questions but be patient with answers.

I think you need to leave this guy, because to me it seems like he's still into his ex girl friend... I m not sure about your situation, but i dont think he's trying to make you jealous..... But what you need to find out is make sure he's over his ex... cuz you might be that rebound and you dont want that... Take care..

Either way, it is not a good thing. Trying to make you jealous isn't a good trait, and neither is being obsessed with his ex.

No it sounds like he's trying to hint to you that he would rather be your man which also comes with benefts.
