i recently went down to visit my mums side of the family, who i have not seen in around 7 years. and i found out that all the things my dad had told me about my mum who died 7 years ago was lies. he kept telling me how unfaithful my mum was and all the horible things her family have done. But i have just realised he twisted it, him and hios family were like that. from what i have been told he was the unfaithful one he kept seeing other woman an my mum knew it.

He alsi wouldn't allow my mums side of the family to see me, they always sent me birthday and christmas cards to me every year without fail with £20 pounds in it. But i never received any of them. Dad always us3ed to tell me they didnt care about me.

But know that i have my own place i got back in contact and found he lied to me for 7 years. I know this because i have always got on with my mums brother and he would baby sit for me every christmas an any other time, he admitted he has missed spendinding time with me.

I had been in a 5 year old relationship with a man I dearly care about. We have many differences between us, mainly our religion and faith. However, we agreed that nothing shld come between us and that everything can be resolved with an open heart and mind. Months ago, he told me its over between us as he realised that marrying someone of a different faith would cause him much misery and he cannot bear the social stigma..Im deeply hurt and disappointed by him. I dont understand why it took him 5 yrs to realise our differences.
Is there anyone facing the same problem as me? I feel so lonely and confused that Im beginning to loathe him. Hope there's someone I can talk to.

Each year since we got married I've alternated between a romantic present one year and a practical one the next.

For instance, this year was a new digital camera, last year was a gift package where I named a star after my beloved. My anniversary isn't until April 07 but I need some 'romantic' gift ideas... Planning ahead as I'm pretty useless!

Doesn't have to be useful, just something to show I care, could be small or large but needs to be special.

i had a relationship, with a guy for 18 months, and i cant lie, or bad mouth him but it was the most amazing year and a half of my life, we connected on so many different levels, shared everything, and loved to be in each others arms, we had our ups and downs, but we always made up, after 9 months we decided to have sex, it was amazing, we gave each other time alone, and it just felt so perfect, especially when he flew me to paris for my birthday and told me he loved me in the eifeltower, im getting myself upset again, sorry, but more to the point, it was his birthday, and i went to his house to suprise him, and he was in bed with my sister, that moment was the worst feeling, what should i do, leave him or stay?

My lover and I are going to a really nice Bed and Breakfast in the beinging of Nov. there is going a fireplace in our room. I am trying to come up with a really romantic evening infront of the fireplace. I would like to start it off w/ a nice dinner & wine w/ some soft music in the background. However, I dont know what I can make. We will be arriving there around 7pm. There is a microwave, sink and small frigator there, so whatever i make has to be reheated in the microwave. I was hoping to cook it before we go and then take it with us and kinda superise him with it. What can I make that wont taste horrible being reheated & that is romantic? I want to make this really special. Also any other ides about being romntic and a fireplace would be great.

I met who I thought to be the great love of my life at age 35. We dated for almost a year and were married 4 months ago. He has a wonderful daughter (she is a challenge at age 13) and I have a 6 year old who both live with us. Blending the families has been a challenge. He is a wonderful man. I love him with all of my heart. I am difficult. I realize that. I get mad easily and I get my feelings hurt easily. This morning, we were in the bathroom getting ready for work. We were trying to have a discussion/argument. Then here comes his daughter...I told her we were trying to get ready for work and I slammed the door. He called me a B, slammed me against the counter and then pushed me on the floor. This is about the 4th time he has done something like this. What should I do? I can not imagine my life without him in it, but I also hate feeling like this.

i knocked back this guy who is my friend when we first met, cos i didn't have feelings for him. but i like him alot more than a friend now and i wanna take it further. i think he still likes me, he still says things sometimes and he says that what he thinks of me has never changed. everyone says to wait and let it happen, but he tried to make it happen with me many times before and i said i didnt want to take it further, but now i do. so it's up to me to make a move. or at least give him a hint. i have been trying to hint and i said that i wish we had given it a go before and he said that it doesn't matter and that things will work out. he also calls me babe, honey, says i'm cute and goofy and he's always saying what 'guys' would see in me. and that he can see it too.

Ok i was going out with this guy named john for 6 months and everything was fine, but in june he had to moved up north to work.
I was so sad but we talked and he asked me if i wanted to wait for him when he comes back in october, well i said yes. He said we would keep in touch, by calling, and writing to each other.
When he left the first couple of weeks we would write to with other to make sure we were ok. But once august came around
we stoped talking, once in a while we would leave comments to each other (on myspace)that i missed each other. Then in september I found out he was going out with some ***** named Megan for a month. I was devestated, anger, i wanted him to stay up there and never come back(he had once told me he might have to live up there for good), but just the other day he return, back in town, I really wanted to talk to him because we never really officaily broke up, he just left me. Why really scared to see him. I like somone else, but i really miss him,

My boyfriend and I have been together about 4 months. I have always had trust issues with him for reasons I am not sure of. I think it just might be me, but i'm not usually that way in relationships. My friends also get the same vibe from him. He has never done anything to jeprodize my trust. Well, we are currently living together and I (stupidly) got a little nosy and found some recent letters in his wallet from a new co-worker who he's been kind of talking about lately. She's saying things like "how come you are so forward and insisting with me when you have a girlfriend?" and stuff about meeting up at the bar after work (they both work 3rd shift and the crew likes to hang at the bar in the mornings.) and going on break together. I wish I knew what was going on but I don't know if I should confront him on the basis that I was the nosy one (and I guess it seems for good reason.) Should I wait and see what happens? Should I just leave? or should I confront?

Ok, my best friend who is a senior(almost 18), is no going out with my little bother(just turned 14). I dont why but i am in no way ok with this. They have been going out for a month now, and the whole month has been hell. Me and my friend are constantly at each others throats. Every time i see them kissing or holding hands i get so mad that i cant even look her in the eye. I'm not mad at my brother really, cause he is only forteen and doesnt really know what is gettin into. I just feel like my friend is in the wrong. My real question is, is it ok for me not to be ok with them going out?
