I have a male friend who I have known for about 2 years, and he has been coming over my house for about a year. He has been living with the mother of his 12 year old for 12 years. He has told me that she cheated on him 2 years ago, and that he'll never trust her again. He has said that they have nothing in common. About 2 months ago, he got married. He didn't tell me, another friend told me. When I ask him about it, he said that he forgot. He told me that he only married her for the kids, and that he isn't in love with her. Why would you think that he wouldn't tell me? Also, he has never shown my husband and I any pictures of his family. What do you make of this?

my sis has been away from me for the past 2 yrs. and her attitude towards me and our relation are drastically changing.i am feeling very bad and left out. she tends to be diplomatic than affectionate. everything seems to be a formality these days from her side. she has excluded me from her future planning. that's alrigt but she has started to hide things from me about her future and everything else. she has been telling her friends that i interfere too much into her life. these days she's into a relation with somebody and it took me a six month period after i came to know about it to make her speak about it.that too when i caught her red handed. i love my sister very much but she is just being diplomatic

She said that she is intrigued by me & that the best thing would be for me to be her friend right now. i see her almost everyday and she calls me or i'll call her sometimes. we hang out and talk a lot. her ex broke up with her recently after a five year relationship and he is also trying to go out with her, but when he found out about the kissing between me and her he went insane. she says that she still loves him, but doesn't know how much longer she'll put up with his attitude & makes excuses for him. i don't know what she sees in him. he's definitely way uglier than me and more immature. now, that she isn't with him she has no friends at college except me and her ex is back home so i feel like i'm the only one she can count on. if i left her now she would think that i was only after one thing. she said that she would understand if i didn't want to be her friend when i explained how much the situation sucks. sometimes i feel that if i took more action i might win her over

It seems as if a guy is not in love with you the first week then he will never fall in love. Every guy I know seemed to like their chosen woman right away, like the third day. I have never had a man , no I am not ugly, so I don't know and don't want to sit around waiting as I am dating new guys. How long did it take before your man asked him to finally be your girlfriend. Weeks, days, months? Pretty please help

My mother has beautiful expensive jewelry she got from her 2nd husband, who she married after my father died. When the 2nd husband died, we discovered that he was a pedophile and had raped my daughter when she was 2 years old until he died, when she was only 4 years old. I think my mother should get rid of all the jewelry he gave her, because it was chosen and given by him. We think she should just sell it and use the money however she sees fit, because money has no sentimental value. She insists that there is no reason not to wear the jewelry and, frankly, it makes me sick that she would want to wear it, now that she knows the truth about the monster she was married to.

So for all of you out there who think this is the case in divorce you seriously need to adjust your tunnel vision. I am 100% for womens equal treatment in every aspect. I don't dwn play the bonds between mother and child and it makes me sick when people down play my bond with my daughter. That whole stupid argument is exactly what her mom says and you know what I say about it: quite being so damn selfish and full of your self! You think you are the only one who has a special bond with your children? It is this mind frame and thought process that has surpressed people for years. Oh but I guess that is the way it's always been huh? Well welcome to the 21st century.

We've known each other for almost 2 years now and have only talked online and on the phone. We are sure we want to take this step, however i can't find sufficient information on what steps to take. She will be moving to the states once we are married and living with me. What will be the quickest and easiest way to do this. I'm in the military so the reason i say quickest is cuz i don't get much time to travel and deal with whatever places i need to go to make this marriage happen.

My husband loves to control the money. Usually when I get paid, he transfers all my money into his account and pays bills,he leaves like $50 and expects me to 'make it last' till next payday. I finally stood my ground and am now keeping my money & helping him pay the bills. Now, I'm doing a little job on the side as a typist, and he's already trying to decide for me how to use the money. I told him it's mine and I will decide how to spend it, but he's just not getting it. I can already tell it might lead to an argument later - I have to, again, stand up to him and tell him its MY MONEY. It's not like I'm going shopping with it, I'm trying to make it last till my next payday, I even gave him some of it, but aparently it's not enough. Am I being selfish? Don't I have the right to hold onto AND decide how to spend MY money?

When we first started dating, he was full steam on about talking about getting married and having children. Here we are 4 years later and still nothing. He keeps saying it's because he was married before and wants to make sure that he doesn't have to go through another divorce, that this time it's forever. Should I feel guilty because I want something (engagement) to show that we're still moving forward? I'm not asking to get married right now, but I feel like I need something! What are your thoughts?

I feel kind of bad for saying this, but I don't want to be wasting my time if he's not serious any more. It's an added worry that we're already living together, so why does he have to do anything because he's already got all the perks of marriage without actually having to be married. I'm just worried, because I've already broken up with another guy where the relationship didn't go anywhere after 4 years. Should I keep the same standards now that I did back then?

On february 12,2005 I lost my 38 year old brother. I have felt like a piece of crap since the day he died. We were very close! I had called in sick to work because my daughter had a cold and My brother called me to come pick him up and drive him to run some errands. Thinking nothing of it I went and picked him up. We spent the whole day together. The next day, my brother called and asked that i bring my son over so he could work with him and I told him no. I had to go take my daughter to dance and didnt have time. He then told me that he felt like he was dying and he was ready to die because he had nothing. next thing i know my son is calling me from his house saying that he wasnt breathing. My brother died by having a pulmonary embolism. My 15yr old son did cpr on him not knowing that he was already gone. On December 30, 2005 I lost my 58 year old mother. She fell from the top of her stairs and hit her head serveral times on the way down and died instantly. will the guilt ever go

My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 months and he has asked me to marry him. Some say its too soon and others tell us to go for it if we really do love each other. Is there a time limit for us to decide when to get married?

If a White guy was laying it on heavy and flirting with you, you went on just a couple of high class dates. Later you found out he was laughing behind your back. Saying that if he were to get in a serious relationship, it would only be with a Caucasian woman. Then you also found out he really preferred marriage to a same race woman, but just used Black girls for sex every now and then, what would you do if you found out you were pregnant? What would be your next step in this situation?

I been w/my boyfriend for 8 mths. He has been divorced for 2 yrs & has a 12 yr old daughter. About 2 mths ago I met his daughter & she is the sweetest thing & her & I got along really good. Last month my b/f & I moved in 2gether & thing is her mom calls late asking stupid question 2 my b/f that r none of his concern anymore, things I think she should handle on her own (they r divorced) Also the other night he & I got into a big fight & he bought some liquor & got drunk @ the house. Well he called 2 talk 2 his daughter b/c they talk every night & he asked 2 speak 2 her after they hung up, her mom called right back & asked my b/f if he was drunk, he said "I'm fine, I'm fine...bye, what? No, I am fine & hung up." That's all I heard & he told me she was asking if he was drunk. My thing is y is it any of her business. My b/f told me well she knows me (they were married for 10 yrs.) But regardless I think it's disrespectful her calling if it doesn't involve his daughter. Am I wrong?
