You don't. People are cruel and judgmental regardless of the past. I would suggest that you find a respectable church where you guys can develop a new background. Any references that he could derive from that might help if you are truly genuine in your goals. It takes a lot of time - it is a shame, but people just don't forgive and forget. Hold your chin up and hang in there - you are on the right path.

Yup, takes time, but I know people in the same situation as far as interviews. Wish the past didnt stay with us.
Some companies dont do backround checks though, just gotta find the right one.
Try to get the cases expunged, that usually can get it 7 years after the crime.
As long as his report is good, who cares what people think about the past.

You have to cheat the system for an ex con to land a job that do back round checks. I think its unfair that ex cons won't get hired, this just leads them back in prison. But my suggestion is find a place or a job that don't do back round checks. If you can't then try to find some sort of trade maybe a contractor if not then head right back out on the coroner and push dat weight

go to those government emplyment agencies that help criminals talk their way through job interviews, usually little hubs located in a small building in the city, your local library or community action agency or united way in the phone book will know where to find these places, my friend did that and has been employed for two years straight by the same company. good luck sounds like you guys are doing well!

It'lll be ahrd for him to get stuff and get a job cause it'll be on his record for life... people will judge him for it no matter if he has changed or not. If u can't find an apartment in your area keep trying in other places. Or if u want to get an apartment fast try to get it under your name see if that works

IT IS ALWAYS A VERY DIFFICULT SITUATION..YOU SEE THIS IS WHAT SENDS PEOPLE BACK TO OLD WAY OF LIFE.THE GENERAL SOCIETY NEEDS TO GROW UP & LEARN TO LEND A HAND.NOT FUNDS,NOT MATERIALS (ETC) ONLY, BUT SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO MAKE A CHANGE IN THEIR LIFE FOR GOOD EITHER BY PROVIDING JOBS,DESTIGMATISING ILL-FATED / EARLIER-WRONG CHANNELLED PEOPLE ETC.THIS WILL LEAD TO A BETTER SOCEITY.BUT DON'T WORRY. WITH TIME THINGS WILL CHANGE. PEOPLE ARE ONLY APPREHENSIVE.LET HIM JUST CONTINUE ON A CLEAN PATH IN ALL THINGS.PEOPLE ARE STILL WATCHING.
