I ask this question because ive been noticing just how selfish I am I dont really put anyone before myself and I always want what I want and im not really grateful for anything but the thing is I know this and continue to be selfish and as I get older my selfishness is most likely going to get worser so I just wanted to know others opinions on being selfish and realizing it but you cant stop it.

My husband died 8/09/06, was 100% service connected, and was an employee of the VAMC(was out on workmen's comp from 1988 to time of death). Tried to go to VAMC, but told only deal with retired employees. Please if there is anyone that can help to find out information or where to go for benefits.

Maybe popular is the wrong word. I worry sometimes that while I try to teach my son to be compassionate, well mannered and social I wonder if his peers will not be able to relate to him. Have any of you out there, for any reason worried that your son/daughter wouldn't/doesn't have any friends? Any advice regarding this matter, first hand or otherwise would be appreciated.
Older girls love him (over 12ish), younger girls (2-5) and adults find him charming but he is having a difficult time forming friendships with boys his own age (4ish).

I have a friend of about a year and a half, he's 19, I'm 16, and I asked him to go to homecoming with me tonight, explaining that I got roped into going and needed a date. He told me he wasn't too keen on the idea of going to a high school dance, and then told me he'd think about it. I have a hunch I just got rejected.

If he ends up saying yes, is it only going to be out of obligation?
And if he says no, do you think he'll be pitying me, thinking I can't get anyone else?

and I waited for him 4 years ..he send me an e-mail last year telling me that he was crazy to be with me and make the family we always had dream about...when he got here he toldme that he had another person in his life and that the only thing he needed it from me was to get the papers...I divorced him and after a year he broke up with his girlfriend...he sent me a letter telling me how much he love me and that he regrets everything ...after a year he is telling everybody to help him ...sorry I forgot to mention that I almost had a heart attack by having the anxiety and depresion when he left ...he cryes all the time and he is acting desperate this situation make so nervous...what /i can do to make him stop...I do not want to talk to him ..it will be a way to let him in

I got twin babies.and the godparents are great with them, the thing is the gMother tbabysit 2 days a week and I pay her 'cause is fair we help each other. My hubby and I get home at 6:30 and the GP stay up to 8:pm. and pretent to be with the babies on the weekends too. I'm fed up. I want to have a life with my Hubby and my babies. I started telling them I want to rest on the weekend , that bother them and now they have an attitude. How can I handle this. I need their help but they should respect the limits of time I need as a Family with my babies. They R ultra sensitive and I do not want to hurt them.

I moved about a year and a half ago because my dad got a job offer, i left behind my life and friends.i'v had a ruff year and a half here, but have finally got some good friends here now, and a good job.Im in my last year of high school and my dad has gottin a new job offer about an hour and a half away from where we use to live. He says that if we were to move that I could finish the rest of the year(my last year) where i use to live before we had moved. He says i can either stay here till the year is over and be on my own afterwards, or go with them now and finish at my old high school.

I admit im not happy where im at now, but its what im use to now. I just now finally got some real friends, and a great job, but on the other hand iv got friends iv known for years and a town i know better and like better than where im at now.
Should I stay here and finish school and try to make it on my own, or should i go back with them and finsih school with old friends and then be on my own

Have been married for 5 yrs now, I got married at 18 and have two wonderful kids. I care about my husband cause he's the father of my kids, but I dont love him anymore. I guess I just git tired of waiting for him to change and start caring about our kids and me, that now that he does, its too late. I met someone else, and even though we havent been intimate, I love him so much. When Im intimate with my husband Im thinking about him. And it really sux opening my eyes and see that its not the person I was making love to. Makes me feel dirty and sad. I would've thought by now he would have noticed that my feelings have change, but it seems like he doesnt, either I am a good actress or he just doesnt want to accept the fact that I dont love him anymore. What should I do?? Im so confused.

How do you get over someone that you love so much? We are separated and I'm hopeful to work things out with my husband. Just today, my wife made a delicious meal and had it ready and the house clean before I got home. i was pleased, but the kicker was that she washed and detailed my sports car. I don't usually ask her to do this becaus ei don't trust her with it. How should I reward her? Should i give her an allowance bonus? Maybe let her ride in my car tonight? So I'm sure all of you have heard of myspace...well my ex just recently "requested to be my friend", we talked a few times, nothing big....I want to ask him to hang out, but then I found out he was messaging my friend...he also called her and said "do you guys want to go out tonight" I don't know if he's using her to get to me or what, to be honest I think it's very immature, but I still miss him, is asking him to hang out a waste of time? I always hear "if a guy wants to see you he will find a way too" So that being said I don't know if I should just back off or what??
