When you get married if you get a prenup everything each other owns stays that way. So no one will half to give or pay any money to the other person. So its marriage without the bond of finances.

It is where a couple write up things that will happen if you break up. It in many ways is used by a rich person to protect the very rich person from marrying a person that wants only the money and is not really in love..... or allows a division of assets if the relationship ends. Sometimes it is admitting that the "till death do us part" may not happen. This makes doing this awkward as one person is telling another person the ground rules if the promise to love till death is not a real promise at all.

An agreement that after divorce, both parties will take away what they brought into the relationship. Without it, one partner can sue the pants off the other, often claiming money or property solely obtained by the other person. Pre-nup is short for Prenuptial Agreement.
